I think magazines like Rolling Stone would prefer to have Axl active than inactive, therefore tearing the leaks to pieces might not ultimately be in their best interest.

I ask myself why they review demoversions of songs we don´t know if they are on ChiDem.
They are not finished, might be changed a lot etc.
If the World, the unknown song (Message for you I think) or the pretty crappy Rhiad are as you hear older than Blues or Maddy. The way Axl sings those songs that differently shows us how useless those reviews are. Compare Maddy 2001 with the new version of 06. It went from bullshit to a good song.
Imagine those new Songs with that powervoice....how would be the review then?

I love the bit about the FBI raiding the guys house for sources of the leak.

Detox was supposed to come out last year too. And we've heard it's finished before too. Snoop is Baz in the Dr. Dre/GNR analogy.

Riyadh and song 2. I think the song 'If the world' could be cool, but Axl's voice just ruins it IMO.
