So in brief: even the diehard fans gave up on this band.

Gave up on this band what?

Gave up on them doing new music? Not really. Just not invested in it anymore.

Gave up on following their trials n tribulations? If that were the case none of us would be here.

Gave up on seeing them live? Hell no. I'd go in a heartbeat.

Gave up on being proud of GNR?
Not really. I don't talk them up to friends but when they do something epic, such as note perfect renditions of estranged. I still get  a swell of pride and think "That's my boy!"

His voice is Amazeballs.

Hard to believe this is Live!

#983 Re: Guns N' Roses » Going Down - A New Song? » 761 weeks ago

I know, but my god would it be funny. It'd be like stickking the word "Shadow" on a play-list leaking it and getting the boards buzzing about some new song "Maybe it's a bumblefoot solo song? Maybe it's off CD II? Didn't some random engineer who tuned pitmans mandolin back in 2002 say something about a track name Shadow?"  Then BOOOM Axl plays "Shadow of your love" with a big grin on his face.
They've already alienated most of the world might as well piss off the die hards

If they got new tunes to play, they'll do it in the states. The NA fans been waiting for them to play for the past what? 5 years now? It'd be a nice gesture to give them something special.

Which is why it'll never happen. Not in the beginning I don't think.

I don't see them opening the NA tour in Orlando, and then dropping a new song. They'll probably keep the set similar to what you've seen in SA, and see what the response to the band is. The band isn't gonna bust ass for combative audiences that stand there and go "impress me" with their arms cross, which American fans (not ME!) do ALOT.

That's the first date? Huh, yeah unlikely it'll happen. What should have happened was CD played in it's entirety first night in the Hammerstein Ballroom in '06. We should be on CD III. But whatever.

Anyway. What are the chances that "Goin Down" is ...

#986 Re: The Garden » Who's behind the Wall St. protests? » 761 weeks ago

In a capitalist society like ours, any time a large even happens, such as the wall street protests, you can be 100% sure there is money being made off it.

From simple things like the gas bought to drive to the protest sites to paint for fucking signs, all anyone really needs to do is position themselves to somehow  service the "anti-capitalist rally" and the cash is going to roll in.

It's not possible to have an non-capitalist demonstration within a capitalist system, and anti capitalism when it feeds those it protests.... is fucking retarded.

The best way to fight the system, the only way at this point, is mass emigration to China. Sad but true.

Yeeeees. What an excellent song. I tend to think of that one as a precursor to Forevermore in it's sentiment. Really tastefully done which is what shocks me most about these 2 new Whitesnake disks. They are classy.

This movie is about nothing. It's an adventure flick where the hero goes through the motions before saving the day. That would've been ok if the movie didn't try to brand itself as deep and complex. Can somebody tell me what this depth and complexity actually is?

Ha ha. Fair enough. I've never watched it, smacks of intellectual masturbation to me Plus I'm not cool enough for that shit

I've said it for years. You should need a degree to be a cop. We've got fucking idiots running around "upholding the law".
