Everyone ignored it. You did, we did, France did, UK did. You ignored it longer than most actually.
And the basics are the same thing. You're actually putting it out there yourself.
France and UK can handle their own, and especially based on lessons previous learned. However, today, their threat is our threat, is YOUR threat.
Germany wasn't a threat to you in 1940 was it, and you stayed out of it for two years. Without Japan, you would have stayed out of it until the Germans were knocking on your front door, and believe me, they were. They had their subs as close so they could literally observe the lights of New York and Miami. That's a bit too late if you ask me. I'm not even sure what you mean by a threat to the US and not Norway, Holland or Czech.
Yeah mate, thank fuck Hitler made the war changing and catastrophic mistake of waking the Russian Bear, or me and you would be speaking German today lol
How many Russians died as they bulldozed their way to Berlin, was it millions?

I always thought this was Axls way of saying sorry for being a bit of a dick sometimes or that he was admitting he'd got things wrong sometimes, he started playing it at the end of the Illusions tour I think.
Either way its just a golden example of the Axl and Slash chemistry, sublime!

Who'd of thought Axl was not just not writing a statement but was giving the album release the body swerve of the decade lol.

What happened with "Mysterion" was when Chinese Democracy the single dropped out of nowhere, that time when we found out it was going to debut on the radio the next morning and the boards went nuts. Mysterion said Axl was preparing a statement on the album release at that very moment and it would be released imminently.
Fernando pounced on him calling him names and making a fool of him, the thread exploded but I went to bed and next day I checked it had all been deleted and Fernando apologised to Mysterion but still said it was untrue.
Mysterion must have had some connection close to the band at some point, cause Jarmo never banned him and has never spoke against him publicly.

I seen this and enjoyed it, a brief and rather impromtu presentation on the casual selfishness in our society.

The first leak of the blues was the best, was it the MSL one? By the time the skwerl leaks came it was already becoming a bit too glossy.

I'm all talked out on this subject over the last few days, but I pretty much agree with the article.
This wasnt a protest, there wasnt a cause - it was just the same selfish thoughtless pigs who blight us and our communities throughout our daily lives.
I'm actually hopefull that there will be a silver lining to these recent events because it has helped hammer drive the message home to our leaders that the common people are sick to the stomach of having to tolerate these scumbags in our communities and being the ones to pick up the peices while these pricks swagger off scot free and without a care in the world.
We also have a an under staffed police force who are scared to use any force incase they get sued, and even when they do catch and prosecute anyone the justice system is so soft people know they will be out in no time. An adult commiting murder here is often given life, but all that is is 15 year - and they are out in 10!
Theres one wee bastard around here I've seen back on the streets recently, a lad who was 20 when convicted, he stabbed one of my neighbours ( an old man about 60) in the throat with a screwdriver in his own home, killed him - and 3 FUCKING YEARS LATER he's back swaggering around town like a hero. That is completely typical of this country, and whats even more galling is these cunts in jail are sitting around in their cells playing Xbox and watching their flat screen TVs!!
The welfare state does have a lot to answer for in many cases, as in this country it has been expoited unchallenged for far too long by the lazy good for nothings in society and has led to a generation who leave school and are fed, clothed and homed by the tax payer, and they have been aggressively reproducing and putting the same effort into raising their children as they do in contributing to society - no effort whatsoever.
Even though I mentioned folk on benefits, its not everyone who are scumbags, my parents were out of work and on benefits sometimes when I was a kid, and they raised me properly - just like thousands of families today.
The problem the massive increase of lazy, greedy, selfish, ignorant, aggressive scumbags in society. Its not a race thing and its not a class thing - those looters who were burning and smashing up their communities were of all colours and from across the social spectrum.
Its all just about people having no respect and no discipline and being selfish selfish SELFISH!!!

I thought Dave Grohl had a couple of jabs at GNR and Axl when the Foo Fighters played T in The Park festival this year. He made this short speech about how the crowd were watching a real rock n roll band because it was "just a drummer and a few guitarists up there rocking out" and how "they didnt need fucking keyboardists and computers and shit."
I was watching the show live on my tv at home and thought hmmm could be about GNR...Slash played a couple of hours beforehand so no doubt he has been hanging out with Dave... but who knows.
Then Dave was doing the band introductions and he introduced the drummer and the crowd started chanting his name and Dave goes "stop stop you'll make his head swell so much he'll be wanting his own private helecopter to carry him to the shows..."

Whats to say all these isolated skirmishes across the globe, recessions, racial and cultural tensions, even climate change are not all going to come together and culminate in a 3rd world war?
I dont need a history lesson, I just wonder where we are all headed, cause personally I believe all the global problems are closer to coming to a rather unpleasant head, rather than just ticking along like recent decades.
