I would stress that Axl and Izzy were more important.  Would much rather see Axl work with Izzy again than Slash.

Axl was the x factor.  Without him, GNR would have never become as big as they did.  That no one can dispute.

And let's not talk about NR and Estranged. We all know what Slash did there.

By "reunite", I am talking the rnrhof performance. He is open to it.

I think he meant more that he realizes he's in a tough spot.  He can compromise what he believes to not disappoint the fans, or he can take the beating everyone will give him for not playing with them.

To me, the best part of this is the new music part.

And it shouldn't come as a shock to ANYONE that Axl and Izzy were the key writers in GNR.  Izzy was MASSIVELY more important than Slash when it came to writing.  Slash was the face of the guitar work, and the soloist, therefore he gets all the credit.

Izzy wrote primitve Stones-riffs. Slash made them Guns N' Roses. Period.

Slash wrote WTTJ. Slash wrote SCOM. Slash wrote PC. Slash wrote CW, NR, Estranged, Locomotive and Coma. Slash wrote all the solos. Period.

Slash made Guns N' Roses musically. Slash amde Guns N' roses Guns N' Roses and not fuckin' Hollywood Rose. Period.

Deal with it.

Axl and Slash are what made GNR huge, I agree with that.

On the old band:

Sounds like good news. Sounds to me like Axl realizes what it means, and you may even get a "jam session" out of it. He doesn't seem opposed to doing.

After Axl's interview, it seems like a Pink Floyd/Live 8 situation is even closer to being plausible. The new band IS Guns N' Roses. That is just the way it is. Axl seems done with the old days, short of plugging in select band members for guest appearences either live or in the studio.

On the subject of the new band:

The Lebeis are the new management team

They're fucking doomed.

That is all, just remember where you heard it first.

Now, remind me which of these Slash wrote?  Funny how two of the songs you wrote (in which are considered by some GNR's best songs) were solely written by Axl.

Deal with it.

Yeah, that's what it sounded like.  At the same time though, I always said I wouldn't want to see them reunite if their hearts weren't into it, even if it's just for one night.  And it certainly seems like the rift between the 2 main players has not let up, and will not anytime soon.  So IF they do perform, the two of them will probably stay as far away from each other as possible.  Not sure how I'd feel about that.  It'd be sad to see in a way.

And yes, once again Axl proves a full scale reunion will NEVER happen.  But people will continue to believe what they want to believe.

I started reading the article and thought to myself, AGAIN!  He fired
ANOTHER manager.  And as is often the case, all the blame is cast elsewhere.  But as I kept reading, it got a little better and I liked what I read.

How long before Beta, Fernando, and Vanessa are fired though?  That could be tough, like Gagarin pointed out.  I'm assuming they have Axl's best interests at heart and unlike other managers, aren't consumed with a reunion.  But if something does go wrong, and inevitably it will, who does the blame fall on then?

So I guess Axl hummed the guitar parts to him.
