You're welcome. It is sad. Protesters should only assemble peacefully and supporters should let security deal with protesters.

I get the annoyance with protesters, but the blame for this being shut down goes on Trump and his supporters, in my opinion. I believe every candidate has dealt with protestors at their rallies. I'm sorry if you can't see the correlation between Trump condoning violence towards protesters and the violence that is aimed at protestors from Trump supporters.
I don't think tonight has anything to do with Trump supporters but everything to do with protestors. They came to shut it down. That said I don't agree with much of the silly stuff Trump says. So I agree with you there.

Just curious, where were you all yesterday when the white dude at a Trump rally sucker-punched a protester? That just gets a pass? He was thrown out and punched for speaking his mind. In fact that has happened at Trump rally after rally. Hell, some people get thrown out just while standing up quietly. Where is the outrage for their right to protest and speak. Let's not have a double standard now.
The violence is unacceptable on both sides. But that comes with Trump.
Sanders had a rally here in Chicago today too. Bet you didn't know that. Then again, no one protested and he didn't say he would like to punch someone in the face.

In case that comes off the wrong way: all I'm saying is you can't accept this behavior from one group of people and not the other. I don't see the same level of outrage when Trump supporters are the ones roughing people up and denying them their rights.

In case that comes off the wrong way: all I'm saying is you can't accept this behavior from one group of people and not the other. I don't see the same level of outrage when Trump supporters are the ones roughing people up and denying them their rights.
I did when they shoved and harrassed that black girl, which was infuriating, and I made it a point to state it here. The difference to me was that it was a stupid, racist old man, near 80 years old who sucker elbowed that kid, which was bullshit, compared to tonight where these clowns went in to deliberately antagonize and try to start something ugly. On MSNBC it was stated protestors outnumbered Trump supporters like 60-40. This was orchestrated by a group who had intentions, compared to a old racist guy throwing a sucker punch.
And I really hate the privlaged left.

Wow, I had largely stayed out of this political debate thread but this one here had to do it....
privileged left? just what in sam hell does that mean? I don't even really know the details but the University of Illinois at Chicago was a very dumb place for Trump to hold his rally. There is no privilege there....it's not Harvard or Yale, or even Notre Dame. It's largely middle class families. The school is just outside the loop and it is surrounded by the ghetto....although they are slowly cleaning it up.
but see.....Trump is a bully....and the only way deal with a bully is to be a bully right back. I'll tell you what man, as a Chicago resident for 10 years, I support the shit outta this...
