Thank god it's outside the perimeter. Looking for more info, but I doubt they'd be able to maneuver a vehicle that close to a gate so hopefully it was just a small bomb and not a VBIED.

DoD is confirming a suicide bomber and reports of at least 3 US Serviceman being casualties are coming out.

Two explosions reported. Reports of US service members caught in the blasts and British citizens who still haven't managed to get into the airport.

There were dozens of UK nationals queuing in the area, trying to get repatriated on UK flights. They had been waiting hours to get through the gates despite British passports.

Us official says initial reports are that U.S. service members, potentially two or three, are among those injured in the attack.

I can't imagine how awful and terrifying it's been guarding that airport knowing this was coming. Every video I've seen of the soldiers you could see it in their faces. Terrible. Heard children were also killed including an infant.
