Re: Chinese Democracy Liner Note Discussions *EXTREME SPOILERS*

I don't have a problem with Bucket being in the band or anything, that is IF they tour for this album, which may or may not happen I just wish Bucket would drop the stupid gimmick,it gets old after awhile,I understand why he does it,but it's not like no one knows what he looks like without the mask and the stupid bucket on his head, and that is the reason why most people think of him as a joke.

Well I have heard better guitarists than Bucket, but I just think his gimmick is stupid, but I guess that's fine for some people.

Yeah, Buckethead being on 90% of the album is a huge vindication for him. Its a slap in the face to all his haters, and an extreme bitch slap to sites that have tried to censor him and downplay his accomplishments.

Will also be cool for fans to finally have to acknowledge Paul Huge/Tobias instead of drinking the Fortus kool aid for no reason whatsoever. Seven years later, the 2001 lineup finally gets its due. The Fortus worship needs to drop to zero until we have a reason to worship him.

This album will also increase Dizzy's stature among the fanbase. He played a very little role in the past discography.

In my opinion, if there's gonna be a tour, Axl needs to reassemble as much of the 2001 lineup as he can.

I couldn't agree more.

When i saw the first page of that booklet, with Axl on the first page and BH on the second, i realized BH is going to get his dues.  Then i checked out the song credits and it is amazing how much he is still on the record.  I hoped they wouldn't just have Ron redo all of his parts, and that hope has been realized.

This is a big bitchslap to anyone who thought BH's impact was minimal.

I wouldn't be surprised if BH is in GNR right now.

The problem becomes that, as much as I love Bucket, I wouldn't want to throw Ron over for him. Ron is a great guitar player, has been far too good for the fans, and has really been a great ambassador for fans to connect with the band. The man has only been around since 2006, and immediately shot to fan favorite.

What role would he serve with 2001 lineup? And let's not forget, Bumble is on quite a bit of the final product, as is Robin & Bucket. The person that seems to be nowhere is Richard.

Could Robin or Ron go rhythm guitarist?

Huge ain't coming back, or he'd been there from day one. He, like Izzy, doesn't want to be with GN'R on "that level".

Axl
Bucket
Ron
Robin
Tommy
Brain (most of his work was left untouched)
Dizzy
Chris

I just don't understand what his gimmick got to do anything. If Im going to a show to look at individuals, I go to see Pussycat Dolls or something.

He created a whole character and image out of that bucket and the mask. While I don't find his antics very interesting, all I really care about is that he plays good...hardcore porn and chicken shit or not.

My thoughts exactly.  I've said that same thing for a while now.  If Bucket comes back, i highly doubt they will throw Ron aside, and really shouldn't.  Let Fortus cash in his check, and send him on his way.

That lineup right there would be amazing to see live.

And if Robin won't come back, i would have no problem with Fortus doing his parts.

Only very ignorant, stupid people bitch about his gimmick.

I like it. It's unique, and different. I just think he'd be cooler if he got rid of the KFC Bucket, donned an actual HQ Michael Myers mask, threw on mechanic coveralls and went out there.

That'd be fuckin' badass.

Yeah, you're right,it should be all about the music and that's the important thing.

I doubt Bucket will be back though. The chances are less than 10%. Just don't see it. Ron is there and Ron is a MUCH better guy with the fans than Bucket ever was. Ron is the king.

And to be honest, i can't see how these people can bitch about Buckethead, but yet they won't tell Slash to throw away that damn tophat after all these years.

Or, most don't tell Axl to get rid of the braids.  (some do though)

But because BH is truly different, people bitch.

Guess what?  It was that uniqueness that gave us Chinese Democracy.  Don't believe me?  Check out the liner notes.  9
