Halloween Jack hasnt even started so i dont think you can call them dead end yet

Snakepit died more because geffen was trying to appease Axl than anything else, but it went platinum and alot of peopel think 5 O'Clock is a magnificent record

Maybe we have different definitions of dead end bands. In my opinion it's a band with no hope of success or anything special musically. Jellyfish certainly had high aspirations and certainly made some great music that wasn't run of the mill club shit. Dover only toured with them.

Snakepit didn't push any musical boundaries but it sold well.

He toured with Cooper, but only did guitar work for them, right?

Halloween Jack does look like a dead end band but that's only one.

Bands where Dover had a major impact, like Imperial Drag and Sextus, weren't successful at all but weren't typical rock bands and didn't aim to be. He likes his brand of 70s glam rock and power-pop and electric and that's respectable enough.

I'm with russ, Jizzy Pearl is the king of dead end rock bands.

Eric Dover isn't much of a looker, but he's got a very good voice usually. Anyone besides me have the Sextus album, by the way? It's admittedly fruity, but has a couple good moments.

For that matter, any of you have Imperial Drag? That was a decent Dover album.

Snakepit remains his highlight (and his live touring with Jellyfish).

thanka for the heads up on Imperial Drag,  its good shit
