too much power is a bad thing

Anybody catch the "Guns N' Roses" reference in there?

haha

There's no song in there, but the message is clear.

And it's right.

I probably won't be voting in 2012 for the first time. Why? It's all the same thing. It's a big machine, designed to keep "them" rich and in power, and to keep us down and poor.

Well Shooter is back. New album in March. Back to country and from the sound of the first single, he is doin' country his dad's way with his own twist. Very old school sounding song here. I dig it. This will be his most personal album to date.

My first thought when I heard it was, "Holy shit, Really Waylony".  Which I consider a good thing.

Just saw this a couple hours ago, hopefully this whole thing makes it up on to the interweb pretty soon, because it has to be cool.

I saw Cody Canada last year.  Put on a really good show.

I'm about halfway between Dubuque and Chicago.  I'd love to hit one of those, but not sure if I can pull it off.

I never got to see Ragweed or Canada. Besides a few NYC shows they never made it around Jersey. The tickets for Shooter's NYC gig is only like 10 bucks so I would be foolish. I think it's his record release party as well. Should be a good time.

I actually wasn't familiar with Ragweed at all, but was convinced to go by some people who's taste I trust, and the gig was close and cheap enough.

I see now that the Dubuque show is on a Saturday.  I'll probably have to get myself to that.

Anybody else have the new album?  Nothing groundbreaking or anything, but it's an enjoyable mostly fully country album.
