u know not to be an asshole but i started a thread when CD came out or a little after saying how i thought the guitar playing sucked on CD. not the solos but just the general riffing etc

these moggs really confirm to me that i was right and i kinda wonder if Axl knew that as well which is why he put so many layers and so much shit to dress up the weakness.

I gotta agree with you on that. After listening to all of the moggs, you can tell that much of the guitar playing is shit. Sorry has some pretty solid guitar...But nothing else really. When you take off just one layer by one layer you realize how sloppily this album was made.

Almost like someone was like "ok, cut that part...now paste this part". Catcher in the rye is a big case in point.

I was just told the Chinese Democaracy Rock band is cracked but the guy wont come off them yet, and hes not asking for anything. He's a pretty reliable guy when it comes to the multi tracks, he was a legend over at ETS before they shut it down for those who may know who I'm talking about.

Someone is teasing us though, poping up and dropping snippets of the multis. I'm not saying it's this guy you mention...

Hope you arent thinking its me, all I did was steal the link from mygnr and post it here.

Well, I know that all of us "hardcore" gnr fans have probably listened alot more carefully to chinese democracy than a common person listening to it. Alot of the guys I worked with arent hardcore fans, but kept telling me "it says that bach does backing vocals on here, but I dont hear him at all"...I couldnt believe them because I had listened to the album over 100 times and I hear it clear as day.

But an average guy who just pops it in his cd player in his car wont hear bach.

The established recording industry is sinking fast...and they had better throw out some liferafts if they hope to save it. The Moguls are losing their mogulity fast- and as for MSL & Skwerl-have no use for thieves in any shape-same goes for live free and a conglomeration of others that cooperated. I didn't have any inclination to download/steal from a musician because I am in that genre and I know the work that goes into each song. I heard the new songs at
the 06-07 concerts, and am looking forward to the 09-10 gigs

I cant lie, I have downloaded every leak that has happened, but I have also bought every album. The thing that drives to download every leak (besides wanting to hear new gnr) is that you never know when new material will (if ever) be released. And with how the gnr music scene goes...you had better get it while its out there because once its gone its gone.

And it always seems like when something gets leaked the person who leaks the songs first tries to leak them on the mygnrs,htgth..etc type of forums, which are quickly deleted then those forums send out their watch dogs to delete any links that may go up. I just shake my head...why not just put up the songs on a bittorrent..that way everyone has a chance to get the songs.

wait...you think someone actually still has leaks to share? what mods are you talking about?

They have the leaks, but they won't share. Eric at mygnr has them, Jarmo has them, the knob at chinesedemocracy.com has them, madison has them.

Now, this is mostly speculation, but between the accusations and all of those mods playing coy when asked or confronted, I'm pretty sure they all have something.

Ive heard the same, the rumour is that they get "special" things from the gnr camp by keeping things pro-axl and more or less anti-slash. Which to me kinda defeats the purpose of a message board if you cant have a complete discussion.

And I would rather hear new shit from gnr, I dont have a great ear to hear slight differences between IRS v.1 and IRS v.4.5...Some do, I dont.

the leaking itself isn't the hard part. obv.

getting the song in the first place on the other hand . . .

Lets says person A gets a song...Now instead of just leaking the music and being done with it....9 times outta 10 it gets drawn out into this big "Well I have these songs, but im scared to release them because blah blah blah....

So I need someones help with leaking them"

But then either they get so much heat on their asses that they give in to the gnr camp, or their promise of a leak is followed with cricket noises ...

Like I said earlier I know that a finished cd on the back shelf in best buy is alot different than a song on axl laptop, but damn I mean if I had a gnr song Id just leak it and watch the response from people and not say a word.

But so many others wanna get fame from leaking a song that it ends up fucking them and/or the fans too.

I know the feeling of the hoarders. I've felt the same with pictures I've managed to get my hands on thru people. Rare photos, never before in digital. People asked me if I could hand them over to them. I hesitated until I realized that I had no claim over the images..they weren't mine at all. I just managed to get my hands on them. And so I shared freely to those who asked. They fall pray for the same idea as they are stealing from. The artists. They feel they "own" it since they "found it".

GNR hoarders have a real sense of entitlement, its really kinda sickning.
If I were Axl I'd be more pissed about people using my name/songs for their own publicity. Its always seems like whoever may have a possible leak its the same ol thing "hey I MAY have a leak...keep checking here to find out.....".

It really makes all of us fans look like the dumbest sacks of shit.

It's pretty easy. If I had a song I would upload it to some website like rapidshare, call it something else than the title, say I found the link or got the link thru a friend and just shared at first thru PM's on one or two boards and let the internet do the rest.

Yep exactly...I just think that we as fans get so happy about the possibility of getting a leaked song, we never wonder why it just isnt uploaded to yousendit or rapidshare, and someone says "hey look what I found"...

Instead its a big long drawn out process that 9 times outta 10 ends up being a lost cause.
