Glad you chimed in, monkeychow. I have never listened much to GNR since my musical preferences predate them by, maybe, twenty to twenty-five years, mostly due to age differential. I remembered this particular song from the past, a cassette tape my son was playing, its sort of rolling, more acoustic but fast tempo, and little or no Axl-screams, and downloaded it among music from my time in order to burn CDs. I must say, it's an excellent piece of rock music. I have listened very carefully, I am aware of overdubbing a singer's voice, I am aware good singers can significantly alter the tenor of their voices, and that voices can be manipulated electronicly, but given all this, it still sounds like someone else's voice. How can we verify this one way or the other?

The live recording is no help and, to an extent, validates my position, since Axl sings there only in his high-pitched voice.

Thanks, James. My son, who grew-up listening to GNR, says it's only Axl too. My music comes from the 60s & 70s, the Byrds, the Beatles, the Kinks, Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, Cream, Led Zeppelin, the Stones, the Yardbyrds, etc. I do like this song very much, but it just sounds like some else's voice in additional to Axl. We, therefore, have a bet which needs settling. If you can help further, I would appreciate it.

What do you mean by LLAS art, by the way?

I have one question concerning "Used To Love Her." It seems someone in addition to Axl Rose is singing. Am I correct or is his voice overdubbed on this song?
