#1 Re: Guns N' Roses » If GNR releases nothing in 2023, is this the end for you? » 13 hours ago
I will never go see them ever again.
I saw reunion 4 times.
Lucky enough to see the debut of Absurd last time.
But Ax's voice is just horrible,
no pyro, no more end of show fireworks, etc..
They are so bad now live.
Slosh with Top Hat & Wigged stapled to his head ?
It's embarrassing to even admit to being a fan of the band.
The constant lies about releasing music that never happens ,
Is just dumb.
Like someone said previously
If they would just be honest about not wanting to release new music ,
I might not dislike them as much as I do.
My fav band most of my life since 87.
But the cash grab reunion has poisoned the well.
Couple more years will be another decade of mostly nothing.
(other than 7 minutes of music that was HS/Absurd single,
and even that was dragged down by the unliistenable & horrible sounding Live recordings they used make the two different EP's)
I can't remember the last time this band did anything good?
Fuck 'em
Lazy f'n' cunts

There is no hope left for current day GnR.
It's just a countdown to whenever Ax's voice is gone completely out.

Rock in Rio was a disaster.
They need to release a fuckin single,
to try and get people interested again.
Another year or two of nothingness and the forums will be ghost towns.
Actually fuck the "singles" idea, and just release the album.
Clear the deck, maybe it will open the band up to New Music,
if Axl can still sing enough to record studio vocals.
So much time wasted,
They should have released Chin Dem II,
and New album by now
#5 Re: Guns N' Roses » How big of a deal was Steven being fired when it happened? » 36 weeks ago
It should have been a bigger deal since the band have never sounded the same since.
But so much was going, with the world jonesing for new GNR music and the circus that sourounded the UYI release.
It kinda get swept under the rug real quick.
But then when Izzy left I knew it was over.
That's almost half the band,
and GNR was a rare band where all 5 of them had significant input to the sound of the music.
I wish they could have held it together for one more album, I would have preferred a follow-up to AFD that had all the same guys.

They already did some NFL promotion with Hard Skool.
They had a premiere for the Lyric Video on the NFL Morning Show on NFL Network.
They spent almost as much time hyping the song as the 30 second clip that ended up on the air.
It was kinda disappointing that they didn't even play the whole song.

GnR /TB plan of Action!
--------------------------------------------
Nothingness and silence , then tour.
Followed by nothingness and silence, then tour.
(Repeat)

No UYI Box til Locked N Loaded boxes sell out
No "New" Single til Hard Skool Singles sell out
#9 Re: Guns N' Roses » Will the next single be something we've heard already? » 42 weeks ago
I think the bigger question is ....
"Will we ever hear the new single"
Slash claimed it would get released in June.
June came and went without a peep from the band, or any evidence that pointed to the band working on new music.
This type of situation has happened dozens of times with GNR.
And if the past is any indicator
.... It does not lead to new music.
Only silence,
and the following year the cycle repeats.
After release dates pass , things don't get delayed.
They get cancelled.

Shadow of Your Love was also a B-Side of the bands very first single for Its So Easy/ Mr Brownstone in 1987.
Might be a clue that this band is going nowhere.
It's all retreads from here on out.
Chinese Democracy II featuring Slash is the goal,
If we ever get there with this one song at a time bullshit is the question.
