Man did KC get some favorable calls against Cincy. I know people like to say the NFL is rigged and they wanted Mahomes in the SB over Cincinnati, and there may be some truth to that. But ultimately Cincinnati could've overcome all those bad calls that went against them. They just played like assholes down the stretch.
I like the Eagles over the Chiefs. I know they've played a really easy schedule and haven't faced many good or even decent QBs this year, but I just think they're a more well rounded team. Mahomes is obviously a huge factor and the Chiefs have the experience but Hurts ain't so bad himself.
And Tom Brady announced his retirement (again) today. I think this time it's for real. This season was draining for him on and off the field. He should've just stayed retired looking back, but he's such a competitor. Easier said than done. He just looked checked out this year at times and didn't seem to have that same fire. I know they got killed against the Cowboys, but even when they were showing some signs of life he just didn't have that same intensity. The Bucs sneakily sucked this year, and Brady wasn't the issue. Problem is though, in years past he has done more with less talented rosters. They still had good WR and a decent defense. But their run game was non existent and the offensive line was pretty awful all around. I think he finally just had enough and it's become too difficult to lift a team onto his shoulders like he's done so many times in the past. I was blessed to see him play in every home game and some on the road in person from 2007-2019. I can certainly tell you it's a far different experience and feeling walking into Gillette Stadium post Brady. With Brady, you never thought they were out of it despite how bleak things may have looked. There will never be another winner like him. Yes, the rules are catered to QBs these days, but multiple guys go down every week with serious injuries. Tom Brady didn't miss a single game after he missed basically the entire 2008 season with a torn ACL/MCL. He played 14 god damn seasons straight without missing a game at a position where he's in harm's way basically every offensive play. That is probably even more impressive than the 7 SB rings. Mahomes is great, but how long is he going to last? He's had some pretty serious injuries in his short career so far. And most of the other young stud QBs use their legs a lot more and are more susceptible to big hits. Pure pocket passers with great pocket awareness are a dying breed. So we may see QBs with greater abilities for a shorter time. But no one will be putting up the numbers he was still putting up in his god damn mid 40s. Ridiculous! The best to ever do it, hands down.

I had no idea that he was acquainted with her in any capacity
It was defo touching, but he needs to give up on the falsetto...cmon Axl just rearrange the songs for mid to low register...ur voice isn't built to sing up there anymore
I tend to remember her being in attendance at the LA club reunion shows, but didn't know they were good friends.

Late to the party here, but I echo the sentiments that the Ritz concert is awesome! It really captures their essence during their ascent to stardom before things got completely bloated. Don't get me wrong, I love it all. But the difference is so apparent. They were still one extremely cohesive unit. Too bad Steven couldn't stick around, but Matt mixed in without skipping a beat. I watched the show by myself and then put it on while playing with my 5 year old daughter. My wife wasn't too thrilled with that when she got home. I was responsible and turned the volume down or skipped over the profanities, at least I tried. I haven't listened to much else though from the box set.

Nice to hear you're all having a great time at the shows. Funny reading about the stamina to just watch a show though. I remember feeling that 10 years ago and I was in my 30s. I go to football games now and tailgate 4 hours prior to the game, stand and cheer for 3 hours, then tailgate after the game. My legs are pretty shot the next day. I know people make fun of Axl for being out of shape, but it makes you think a little differently. I need like a full day to recover, they're out there doing it multiple nights a week and they're in their 50s/60s, well except for Mellisa.

That Bills/Vikings game was the best/worst game I’ve seen in awhile. Highly entertaining but some really bad execution & decisions down the stretch. Bills are so talented but they play very loose and that has hurt them these last two years. They should’ve won that game easily about 5 different times. Credit to Minnesota for hanging in there and taking it away. Big boy win for sure.
I kind of feel bad for McDaniels. I THINK he’s a good coach, but he surely hasn’t shown it on his own. I understand the appeal to coaching the Raiders and in Vegas. But that team hasn’t been the most stable over the years. Felt like he could’ve held out for a better opportunity or just wait out Belichick to retire. Gruden and Mayock really screwed up their drafts in their short time, so the roster is lacking good young talent. It could be a tough rebuild and McDaniels likely won’t be given too much time to turn things around. He really hasn’t earned that.

Justin Fields playing real well the last 3 weeks. Maybe starting to figure things out with better coaching and stability around him. Still in full rebuild mode, but some promising developments. Earlier this year they looked completely inept on offense. I had the displeasure of seeing them destroy the Patriots, which started this run for them.

No way you didn’t know this… what Axl did back in 1990/1991 was really impressive. Sounds fantastic.
Had no idea. Makes sense why it took so long to get it just the way he wanted it to sound though. He might be too much of a perfectionist for his own good considering the lack of musical output over the years.

Count me in as cautiously optimistic. The songs exist, it’s just a matter of getting them out to the public. That’s always been the main issue. They did it with Absurd & HS though so I guess they’re just waiting for the right time. 11/23?

Anybody going to step to the Flood in fantasy this year? YAWN
Mercury Morris and the 72 Dolphins have the champagne on ice patiently waiting for your team to lose. I just did a quick check. You have the most points in the league and the least points against. Not even challenged yet.
Neemo, if you read this, you're down a QB. Might want to make a change there. It's not too late.
