Continous spamming about the ITW remix or whatever will get you banned.

Can't promise you the ITW remix, but can you promise you that. 19

The evil label, bankrolling the project from '94 to '04. They fail to recognize the genius who stayed home for the mothership release. When he finally re-surfaced, he blamed the label (which dropped the ball, but so did everybody else).

The label has been mostly useless for Guns artistically (big surprise), while Guns have vehemently denieyd most procedural media access and promotion opportunities. One big print interview with Axl, with a talk show appearance (interview + live song), and he's done the bare minimum to show up and present his art to the public through his own image.

The label may be kicking themselves now. I'd imagine CD gets more attention now than on its release. The label could release things, digitally. Only the window of opportunity passed. Ax was in the mood when the label was not - and vice versa. Sounds like a petty and uneven relationship, where they get nothing done within a lifetime.

Duff and Slash should just start hammering songs out and arrange them with the band. Mr Moody could focus on lyrics and melody. 4-6 songs, rockers. Gee, would it sell?

There’s one record company executive, who I dare not name, who was playing privately for journalists in London in the summer of 2007, his version of the album, which dated back to when he worked on the project — 2001 or 2002, when it was first on the schedules to be released.

Could be Tom Whalley. As I recall, he was appointed as an intermediate, after Ax famously ousted both RTB and Zoot.

Good find. Whatever happened in '02 is down on Axl. It's hard to pinpoint what made him change his mind and when. It could be anything, like Yoda giving him a bad vibe reading. He had a big money comeback tour lined up and he just binned it.

You wouldn't buy it or the remix cd if Axl released it today?

Likely not.

Remixes don't qualify if we're talking about new songs, either.

The cuts I've heard thus far (the BBF/DJ stuff) was best left unreleased, anyway.

I want new music. Not music from 30 years ago falsely labeled new. itw remix is the new GNR music i'm looking for.

It's still 15-20-year-old music falsely labeled as new, if by new we mean things Axl & co have tinkered with during the past few years.

"Duff: We're in [the studio], writing new songs...
Stern: And Axl's into it?
Duff: Yeah, totally. And, actually, today I was going to have to fly back right after this. We were going to start recording for this Jackie Chan movie, the next one." (Duff, Howard Stern Show, 07/25/96)

Wonder which film, exactly. The next one could be one of three, including Rush Hour (1998).

Guess it's one of those "seeds of songs", those three songs Axl wanted Slash to play on.

But yeah, it was created during those late summer '96 jams in The Complex, with Paul Tobias.

Atlas.

I put my vote down on the Sean Beavan -era. Having said that, anything that could be heard is likely an Axl / Caram production (2002 onwards).

In all likelihood, the Beavan tracks feat. Bucket would kill the latter-day versions. Oh, well.

Brain once told an anecdote on the recording of an anonymous song with RTB. He mentioned "a kick drum in the second part of the intro". From that, we can deduce the song has a likely longer than average, two-part intro, with percussion.

That cellphone recording goes on for over a minute before it starts to bite.

Food for thought.

We may hope someone like evader will work their magic.

Nice to see you, dave.
