Perfection. ??

That's one solution.

I am not a drug user. I tried pot once when I was maybe 15.  Wasn't impressed.  Never tried anything else.  Took prescribed Vicodin once after a surgery and never took it a second time after the hallucinations I had.  I'm not pro drugs by any stretch of the imagination.

Even I think it should be legal and taxed.

I don't think I have the time to do the full write up, but here's what I will say: Luke had to die at some point.  I think everyone knew that.  I wouldn't have done it here though, and certainly not in the way they did it.  I originally thought it should have happened early in the next movie.

In fact, taking it a step further (after seeing it the third time), I might have ended this movie with them unloading shots on him.  The possibilities of where to go with that would have been endless.  They should have rewrote the ending when Carrie died.  Even if this was the plan, it should have changed.  You need someone bridging the gap still, and Chewy or the now useless droids aren't the answer.  Neither is force ghost Luke.

It feels like they are trying so hard to move on, but at the expense of the fans of the original movies.  That almost feels calculated.  Let go of the past, kill it if you have to.  That's what it feels like they are trying to do while hopefully attracting new millennial fans.  It's a risky way to go.  All of the things we complain about I don't really hear from the younger generation or those that weren't attached to the old movies.  Disney sees this as an investment only and knows if they are relying on us, it's going to die.  They have to get new blood interested, and that's what they seem to be doing.

I've often wondered the same thing.  The guy put a lot more energy into campaigning than Clinton did, and no one questions her desire for the office.  But either he really understands middle America, or he's the luckiest son of a bitch to run for office.  I don't think he expected to win with such a large electoral victory though.  Flipping one of the blue states, sure.  Flipping all 3 he tried for and taking both Ohio and Florida, no one could have predicted that.

Predicted exactly that?  No.  But I said people underestimated how sick of the establishment people are.  That's what got him elected.  Apathy/strong dislike for Clinton by the Democratic voters which resulted in lower turnout and the fact that an outsider (no matter how idiotic) was running on issues that rallied the conservatives to show up where it mattered.

Now we have to deal with all of the bad things that go along with a non-establishment President without cleaning house in the House and Senate.  We're dipping our toe into non-establishment so to speak and it's not really going well because he's the wrong guy for the job and nobody is really working with him.  In some ways he could have been the right guy to bridge the gap as he's really a Democrat anyway, but by drawing some hard lines where he did to get elected, he ruined the chance of doing the one thing he should be able to do which is negotiate deals that would be good for everyone.

When is the execution?  Impeachment?  I mean the punishment for treason is death and certainly if they avoided that, they gave irrefutable proof that Trump did something, right?  Did I miss the news conference?

I don't bother reading any of the crap he posts because it's always as slanted as he is.  The bias oozes from him even when he's trying to hide it.  He is exactly what he complains about others being, yet he continues to complain about it.

I listened to him for a while.  I did.  When it became obvious that he was just using talking points while complaining about others using talking points (even when they aren't), I just shut it out.  I can have my next response to him posted before he posts anything and it will be spot on...

When I have some time, I'll create a thread on this...if someone else wants to start it, that's fine too.  My thread will be "How I Would Have Done Star Wars Episode VIII" and it will probably be a long post.

Based on what's actually happened I wouldn't care under any circumstance so far.  I'll reassess if/when more facts become available, but so far it's the same as Clinton, so if Clinton is okay with you I am not going to worry about Trump.

So this is a big deal, but the Clinton ties to Russia aren't?

This is why I don't really care about it...not because I supposedly support the GOP or whatever other excuse you want to make for this being an issue for Trump but not for Clinton.  If you think they both didn't have ties to Russia, you're not even trying to be objective.  I didn't vote for either of them and voted for a pot head because I wanted nothing to do with either of them and I was hoping that a third party (however unqualified) could get 5% when the biggest losers ever were running for the major parties and make things better for everybody in the future (how's that for a run-on sentence???).

That's the one thing I did get wrong...I had too much faith that the people would be smarter than this.  My bad for giving people too much credit.

Saw it for the third time today.  It's still not the movie I would have made, but I have certainly come to grips with it.  I think there are certainly some continuity issues, but the opportunity is there for it to be fixed by the end of the trilogy.  I really think we won't be able to judge the movie until we see IX.  In JJ I trust...
