I have had the exact situation before, once as the buyer and once as the seller.

As the buyer I emailed the seller (who I had already been in contact with regarding the postage delays).  Anyhow, I said that I was going to open an ebay dispute simply to cover my ass because I had to do it within a specified timeframe.  Obvously when (if) the item arrives I will happily close the dispute.  They were completely fine with it.

As a seller I actually suggested someone do it to me just to give them piece of mind.

Sounds like the guy over reacted.  Why couldn't he just wait and see if it arrives, then you can close the dispute and nobody gets hurt???  Maybe email him again saying that?

Also make sure you always clear any funds sitting in your paypal account.  That way if you make a payment it comes direct off your credit card.  This allows you to do a charge back at a later date and it obviously doesn't matter if the time to lodge an ebay disupte is closed.

Yeah it's strange there are some songs that just don't seem right to me without slash playing them, Civil War is one of them. I don't know if its partly a visual  thing, partly a signature sound?? That Voodoo Child intro FucKen rocks.

I would say locomotive and estranged also fall into that category for me too.
