#101 Re: Guns N' Roses » One Year Later - Did you get what you wanted? » 483 weeks ago
I'm happy they're back together but without new music it's hard to stay interested. I come to this forum maybe once a month just to see if there's anything going on that suggests new music or developments along those lines.
Definitely love the forum though. Have posted here a long time even if infrequently. Let's hope GNR does something new soon. Cheers

Glad to hear they are at least jamming new ideas for songs. Whether or not we ever hear them is another thing... but a man can dream and this is a step towards better news in the future!
#103 Re: Guns N' Roses » Izzy tweet about Axl and Duff interview » 513 weeks ago
Didn't read the whole thread but Izzy has a legitimate reason from a music making perspective to want an equal split. He was featured on all of the bands important albums and contributed to their sound.
That being said, from a money making perspective for the band... Izzy should know he's not as well known as the other 3...
Like some people on the first page mentioned... it's the music business, not the friendship business... what can you do but be happy at least 3 and a half of them are together.

Nice! Sounds good

I like New Rose but I haven't heard the live versions of any of these songs from this tour. No real opinion.

Coma anyday.
#107 Re: Guns N' Roses » Ideal Setlist Part 1: Don't Cry vs. Patience » 520 weeks ago
Man why choose between either of them
I guess if the crowd was cool and sang along I would prefer Patience tbh. Seeing Slash on Don't Cry would be amazing though. I do really enjoy both.
TLDR I voted Patience but both are amazing tracks

I'm buzzed at the moment but have they been playing Estranged often? Surprised they would play both Coma and Estranged in one show... that's pretty epic to say the least.
#109 Re: Guns N' Roses » Half of CD vocals done in a week? » 527 weeks ago
I was always pretty shocked to hear the same vocals on IRS and its 99/98 demo... same with Catcher and its demo if I'm not mistaken.
Fits the narrative that Axl's vocals on the album were finished a long time before the album was released.
#110 Re: Guns N' Roses » GILBY On GUNS N' ROSES Reunion: 'I'm Happy That The Guys Are Back" » 530 weeks ago
Slash McKagan wrote:Asked if he would rejoin GUNS N' ROSES if he was asked to take part in the band's reunion tour, Gilby said: "You know, I don't really wanna answer that, because I don't know. I honestly don't know. It's a hypothetical question, it's a hypothetical situation. So I really don't know. I mean, before all this happened, people [would] say, 'Would you be a part of the reunion?' And I always said, 'Absolutely!' Look, I love the music of the band, I love the band and the performance, but this GUNS N' ROSES isn't the GUNS N' ROSES that I was a part of, so it's a hard question to ask right now."
Yeah, right.
Can't really fault him for the answer though.
Saying "Hell ya!" makes it weird and possibly affects his image (in his world/the people he deals with) if GNR never give him a call or shout out (which is likely.)
Saying "no" would just be bizarre on all levels. Who wouldn't say yes to that.
So all things considered it's wise to leave the door open (through ambiguity) even if he assumes the chances are low.
Overall it's nice to hear him say good things about the band and I thought he came off well.
