Dunno why they would come out and throw that petrol can on the fire? Did they cop lots of grief for the late start in Rio? Coz that was SOAD's and the rain issues I thought.

That said is an exclusive deal with Best Buy bad ass Rock n Roll too? 14

That was something GNR posted on their facebook right?

Yeah a sailing one would be good.

I like TSI personally some great covers on there.

The only covers I don't really like of GNR's is Whole Lotta Rose and Heartbreak Hotel.

Since we are talking about TSI?  thought I would throw this in for those that never found out what it meant.  Remember these symbols on the cover of the album, down the bottom:

Sometime ago someone on mygnr deciphed what they actually mean. I quote from his post:

After taking a look at the actual cypher the Zodiac Killer sent to the San Fransisco PD back in the sixties, I'm convinced Axl used his code as a sly message on the TSI? cover.

Here's the actual cypher from a newspaper and the corresponding symbols that appear on TSI?:

Only the Y doesn't match the code, but the Zodiac killer was fond of spelling letters backwards to fuck with people, which may be what Axl is doing. Anyway, the message when decoded clearly says:

FUCKEM ALL

Great detective work!!  Seems to run with the Charles Manson/serial killer theme too.

Yeah a real shame, I agree some of the speeches he has made particularly post his diagnosis were quite inspiring.

You can have all the money in the world but unfortunately it can't buy you health. RIP

Well for their sake I hope this concert and the next few go well otherwise it could be a looong couple of months coming up for them.

I'm pretty confident this one will go better, as long as he can read his TelePrompTer then everything should be fine.

His body is his instrument.  (Let's see what kind of comments that brings)

I think he just needs a nice girlfriend to "play his flute" regularly then, release a bit of that pent up agression/tension that he seems to have.

Surely it would make a nice change for him to bring a chick on tour to hang out with instead of his mum.

Re. Axl's fitness, I don't seem him looking a lot different than last time.  Sheesh the guy is 47 or something and still looks pretty good I think.  Fuck I'm 37 and I certainly feel how much fucken harder it is to keep in shape now compared to my 20's.  As long as it doesn't affect his voice or he's not morbidly obese I couldn't give a fuck.  That said if his cardio fitness is so down that it causes him to struggle with the lyrics etc then that is a concern.

As for suggestions Axl should simply become a studio artist, unfortunately I don't see that happening in the current era.  There is simply no money in it.  The $$'s are in touring, if he's going to write more music, if he doesn't go out and tour it he's screwed.  There aren't many $$'s to be made from downloading Mofo's.

Does this spell out doom for the tour? Not necessarily. Ultimately it depends on what Axl's problem was last night.

I think that is the key.  Axl can move on from just having an off night.  What was more worrying is what caused him to have the shit performance.

During that gig he really looked to be struggling mentally/emotionally at times.  No idea if he was unwell or if there was something troubling him.  Or maybe it was as simple as just berrating himself for screwing the lyrics a few times?  Whatever it was he sure did appear to be quite down.

So unless he can get himself out of that rut and start thinking of his happy place, it might be harder for him to turn this around than simply remembering all of his lyrics next time.

Yeah no need for him to dwell on this too much. Just take it as a wake up call to pull his finger out if he wants the US tour to go well.
