Yeah, they should definitely bring back the old WWF Gold Eagle heavyweight and ditch that spinner shit belt. That thing looks really retarded.
I don't think they'll dump Smackdown. It gives them another show to showcase guys and it has a different feel than RAW. With the WWE network in limbo, they need another outlet for weekly wrestling other than RAW.

Jeez that was a really long winded letter. Some of it was rather confusing. Axl will come off as the bad guy again and as usual it's self inflicted.
I'm not sure why people are blaming Adler. He's been singing the same tune for years now.

Another great article written by Duff there. Thanks for posting that, Aussie.

Guys like Orton and Cena are gonna have to get back into the title picture. Punk is the only real threat to either title WWE or WHW. Who else is there? Del Rio? Shaemus? Trust me, those dudes are NOT gonna be guys who sell PPV buys. Even the good ones back there like Bryan, Swagger, even maybe Cody Rhodes down the road, are just nowhere near company leaders. Brand franchises. Jericho & Big Show have had their day, as has HHH.
This is another problem I have with them. The World titles have been made practically useless because there have been so many title changes during the past year or so. What does it say about the World Heavyweight Title when the match was only given 18 seconds at Wrestlemania? Shockingly enough, Bryan is starting to get over with the Yes! Yes! Yes! stuff.
But the TNA thing is very interesting. Last I heard the ratings have plateued, there getting even older constantly riding Hogan, Flair, and Bischoff to move the product. You just know Vince Russo is in charge, apparently he didn't learn his last lesson with WCW in 2000/01, which is ALOT of what TNA looks like right now. Alot of talent, but a total lack of direction and funds. I don't see how much more run they have in them, unless Dixie is fine just getting by as are the other wrestlers, and I don't even know how much profit they make. Are their live shows still free?
They FINALLY fired Russo a few months ago. Sadly, Hogan/Bischoff wields most of the power there backstage. They just received a 2 year contract extension from SpikeTv. So it doesn't appear that they will be going anywhere in the short term. Most of the money I believe is from Dixie's dad and not Dixie herself. As you said, her problem is that she has no fucking idea how to run a wrestling organization. That's why the wrestlers (specifically the "name" guys) are running the asylum there. They should have just hired Paul Heyman a year or so ago when he was really interested in joining them.
They do have interesting wrestlers but the other major problem here is that half their PPV always end up with some crappy dq finish or something retarded. Vince, for all his faults, usually gives the fans what they want in regards to the big PPV matches.

Manning signed with Broncos.
Smith should get more money from Niners now.
Rumor is that Miami (or Jacksonville) could trade for Tebow. He's not better than Matt Moore. They might as well just stick with Moore and draft Tannehill. I don't really see a team trading up to 7 (or 6) to get him.
misterID here's an interesting Tannehill article:
http://mattwaldmanrsp.com/2012/03/12/wh … -prospect/
Regarding Fisher and the Dolphins, shouldn't you be blaming Ross? He's the one that refused to give Fisher personnel control. He's the one that has chosen to stick with Ireland.
Titans are bringing in Kameron Wimbley and Mark Anderson for visits. They have to sign one of those guys.
Flynn actually got a lot less money than I'd thought he would.
Bills look interesting but still I'm not a big believer in Fitzpatrick. Anyone else hoping that Manning totally bombs out in Denver?

Welp, it looks like the Titans are real players for Manning. Bud Adams is rumored to have offered an executive position after he retires (think John Elway) with the gig.
It's either going to be:
The Bronco's
The Cardinals
The Titans
I'm 99% percent sure that he's signing with the Titans. They just brought in the doctor a few hours ago to examine him. I've been keeping tabs of this online and this shit is getting insane. In between fans checking in on flightaware to see when/where Bud Adams plane is leaving and now Manning gets a call from the governor of Tennessee asking him to join the Titans.
I just don't think he can say no. His wife (and Eli's as well) is from Tennessee, and they just hired one of Polian's sons, and they're offering him a post career front office position. Add to that the state loves him and that insane old man has offered him a gazillion dollars.
This has got to be one of the better stealth campaigns to woo a free agent I've ever seen. Either that or they're just good at shifting to plan B.
On to the qb shuffle, assuming Hasselbeck gets dumped, he probably ends up in CLE.
Loser of the Flynn race probably drafts Tannehill.
So the Dolphins had good reason to dump Marshall--he allegedly struck a woman in the face in NY.
They can still grab Michael Floyd with #8 if they want. Dolphins resigned Soleai and signed Richard Marshall of Arizona.
Law firm (aka Ben Jarvis Ellis Green) was meeting with the Bengals. I was kinda hoping they'd draft Richardson from Alabama.

As for Austin performing a match, Austin for the last few years has said on several occasions that he believes he as Two More Years in him FULL-TIME, meaning matches on PPV's, matches on Raw, and so forth.
Austin has also said that if he does come back, he prefers to do it that way, and not with one-off matches here and there, but with the quality of good writing, and SOLELY for the purpose of taking bumps and giving a push to someone new to pass the torch.
When asked, who?
Austin said the only guy backstage he'd consider is... CM Punk. McMahon has yet to call.
As for my opinion, it'd be pretty cool to see Austin come back and do a two year feud with Punk, resulting in a Wrestlemania match, and possibly a rematch. The Rock & Cena could also get involved.
My feelings on it are mixed. Austin is very unique in that his injuries caused his legend and quality of matches to remain top-notch. In other words, he went out while in his prime, just just before the decline was coming, and he knew it.
Do you bring him back to the novelty of it and giving a push to Punk, and deal with a less mobile Austin, while Austin is still of age and in shape enough to do it. Or to you leave his legacy alone, and let it lie?
I gotta give them a pass here on not developing a CM Punk vs Austin feud. They got the Rock vs Cena this year and HHH-Undertaker on the top of the card. Adding on CM Punk-Austin on this year's card would be overkill. Better to save it for next year.
He could always do the HBK thing where he shows up for a few months before taking a break.

Garcon signed with Skins for 8 million a year. Apparently, Winston is visiting Miami. Makes sense as he was a "U" guy.
Vincent Jackson about to sign with TB for a big amount.
Skins also about to sign Josh Morgan, former 49er.
Brandon Carr to visit Dallas. I can't see Jerry not opening up the wallet for him considering he just dumped Terrence Newman.
Rams hosting a bunch of former Titans.
#1159 Re: The Garden » The Wrestling thread » 739 weeks ago
The weird thing is that they've actually started signing more actual wrestlers instead of guys who look good and can be trained. I'm going to give some props to HHH for this development.
I think you're also underestimating how boring the WWE wrestling style can be at times. I guess they just need to find the right mix of workrate and personality.
It would be better if they let some of the wrestlers cut loose on the promos instead of scripting it beforehand.
#1160 Re: The Garden » Nfl Draft - Free Agency » 739 weeks ago
Yeah, they traded two second rounders for him. With the WR class weakened by Colston and Stevie Johnson resigning with their teams, I'd figure they at least get a 2 out of another team. I don't think they'd get a first rounder as he has too many off field issues.
Either they go after another WR (cough VJax), rebuild from the ground up or are supremely confident that they are going to get Manning. Otherwise the move makes little sense.
Great move by the Bears getting him on the cheap like that. I think this does take them a bit out of the Mario Williams chase though as Marshall has a cap figure of 9 million. Better move would be to go for Eric Winston who got released yesterday by the Texans.
Moss gets to face the Rams twice a year and stick it to Fisher for benching him in Tennessee.
Mario Williams is visiting BUF tonight. Can't see him immediately signing there without visiting other teams (TEN, SEA, JAX, ATL and others). Meachem is also visiting Buffalo.
Pierre Garcon in negotiations with Redskins (and Rams). This will turn out well. Or not.
