that would have been a MUCH better showing. if the extended solo w/ bucket was a thing by then, it would have showed off the entire band in a very positive light. axl, naturally, would have sounded a lot better as well.

the weird medley thing they did basically summed up the entire '02 fiasco in under 10 minutes. a bunch of random weirdos on stage playing appetite for destruction songs while axl embarrasses himself on multiple levels.

this band really had no identity. you can even tell with the shitty logos and merch they had back then. axl was throwing a bunch of shit at the wall and the only thing that stuck was buckethead, who he proceeded to drive out of the band within a few short years.

i'd be way more interested in some fresh footage of an axl/dc or big 3 soundtrack.

now that would be worth some money! $19.99 as a bonus feature of a new live guns n' roses blu-ray/dvd.

i hope axl gets bored on a plane ride and gives this podcast a listen. russ from mygnr cuts a great promo about how this whole wacky hoarder situation only exists because of axl's refuses to release new music. if a new song dropped tomorrow, not a single whisper would be heard about the damn vma rehearsals, which apparently currently have a price tag of 10k.

also, there was no mention of a buckethead solo on the general.
