I voted "Another Tour".
Silence will come first, but that's a given.
Like someone else posted earlier. They'll prolly tour Asia/Ociania agein.
Wouldn't surprise me if GNR's logic will be: "Hey! We havent toured Asia since 2009! Let's go!!!"
If that happens, the angel on my right shoulder thinks it's because the need more funding for studiotime.

Axl rants and makes shit public all the time, including slamming people with absoulte contempt and anger, including (at the time) current band members in the past, making private issues public. I don't see a difference.
There is no difference.

monkeychow wrote:Well yeah I'm not speaking on his behalf obviously, just saying I have some familiarity with pain issues so I can guess those are the kinds of problems he'd be experiencing.
Personally if his pain hurts either way, I'd rather see him stay in the band and just give him the rope to have a rant sometimes!
I don't disagree with that last statement. But, I have a question (for everyone): Is it really necessary to have that rant publicly? Can't someone vent privately and effective express their frustrations?
Ali
I support Ali's question.
Speaking as just an ordinary person's reaction to another ordinary person's action. I can understand the frustration Ron must be feeling. But I don't totally understand the way he deals with it.
It's like: "I'm so frustratetd with my health and job right now that I'm gonna pick up my phone, log into my twitter account and let EVERYONE know how much I hurt and how much I disagree with the way things are handled!"
I mean THINK about it! It is kinda wierd. I'm sure we all have that "friend" on Facebook who shares juuuust a tad to much nagative thoughts on this or that. Be it personal or job related. And you sit and shake your head, thinking: "Uuuum, maybe you should settle this or that privately?!"
Speaking as a GNR fan. Of all the "negative" tweets from Ron the last couple of days, this one says a lot: "..way too many nails in the coffin on this tour...." Sounds like a lot more than a few hours or days of frustrations.
Hopefully some of you guys are right and this will all blow over.

He didn't say that in the audio it posted on twitter. It was basicly "Hi, the tour is over, thank you all, will never forget you, goodbye"
Nothing about leaving the band.

Once again everyone used to tease us with $la$h and id always tell people to be careful cause when axl gets active u are gonna eat those words. Bon appet`ite
I'm guilty.
But for now, I'm only taking a small bite outta those words.
There is a huge leap between Slash and Axl when it comes to the way they go about their business.
I'm no expert when it comes to organizing huge tours. But it seems that sponsorship is an industry norm these days and have been for some years. The private shows I believe they could do without.

I guess the manager need another pair of sneakers made out of crocodileskin, or whatever the fuck he tweeted a while ago....
And Axl is not innocent in this. He could put a stop to these private shows if he wanted to!
These kind of shows don't sit right with me.
Remember Axl's advice in the chats back in '08? "Never sell out!"
Walk the talk, man!

Yeah. I've not been following the latest euro-tour as closely as I used to. But my summary would initially be: "Great shows, same setlist, management not as bad as some fans thought.....
Now I get the impression that shit has been hittin' the fan behind the scenes.
And soon, somebody is going to talk to Ron and he will post a message to ease the fans.

And another one, some minutes ago....
@bumblefoot: Success without a feeling of integrity, or happiness, is not success. To me. We all have to re-evaluate our compromises once in a while...

Don't wanna start a conspiracy thread, but Ron's latest tweets doesen't sound tooooo upbeat....
@bumblefoot: One. More. FUCKING. Show. One more.
@bumblefoot: Drained of passion & desire, way too many nails in the coffin on this tour. Need to get home & recharge my batteries. Love you all
@bumblefoot: Wow. Diverted without info (or gear or clothes or sleep) to play a wedding in France. Yep. Guess it's not *one show left*...
@bumblefoot: “@Lucas_McKagan: what's the next step with Guns N' Roses?" Playing Bar Mitzvahs I guess..."
#120 Re: Guns N' Roses » so what did i miss? » 695 weeks ago
Prolly the most surpising thing is that GNR as done a Euro-tour so far without any "negative" incidents.
Maybe Team Brazil as managers wasn't such a bad idea after all?
