Well I have finally decided I wanna build a website for my collection of GNR shit. After talking of doing it for 5 or 6 years now I have finally decided to create/design it myself but have been tossing up over which software to use.

I'm pretty green when it comes to this sort of stuff so the easier it is to use the better.  I don't really wanna learn html and all that other stuff either.

Anyhow, I've got an imac at home so I was looking into mac related software.  I downloaded a trial version of Freeway Express and whilst it's not basic to use after fumbling through a couple of tutorials on there I think it can do most of what I want and it won't be too difficult to get up to speed on it.

Has anyone had any experience with this software or can recommend any others for me to look at?

The main purposes of the site is really to house picture (shitloads) and information.  It will be fairly static, I don't really care for too much fancy stuff like dynamic effects etc etc.

Any thoughts/comments?

Agreed it's a very very sad situation. So many innocent young people, just tragic!

Some nice pick ups.  I've been thinking about hooking up my old player to my current setup so I can play some of my vinyl.

Was even thinking of trying to buy a new quality turntable and having it run through all my other stereo equipment and making it a permanent fixture.  If I do that then I would be more inclined to use it regularly and I might have to start doing some shopping expeditions like yours Russ to fatten up my collection/playlist.

There is still something special about the warm sound of a vinyl record.  Yeah sure there's limitations with the medium, but then most mediums have their pros and cons.  But just the whole ritual of taking the vinyl out of it's sleeve and putting it on, looking at the great artwork on the album and the inside sleeve etc etc. That whole process/experience is tough to beat.

Far out!!

You know I worried about that at one stage.  For some reason the encryption/password on my router at home wasn't activated.  I only noticed it when I found that a heap of my download had disappeared.  I looked at the logs from my ISP and found it was at times when I was either asleep, at work etc.

I started to shit myself and wondered what they might have downloaded.  I mean what if it was child porn or some shit like that.

Didn't Axl make Stephane Seymour piss in a kitty litter tray? I thought some of that shit came out in her court case against him for domestic violence.

Or is that just an urban myth?

Sorry to hear that Russ.

We had to put our cat down a couple of weeks ago after about 17 years. It's not easy losing an animal they become such a big part of the family!

Civil War was probably the highlight for me when I saw Slash on his solo tour.  Love that song and Slash plays it fucken well.  For me the song just epitomizes Slash's sound and playing!

I thought that at first too.  Although reading a lot of comments under the story in the link people are saying it's not doctored and they have been there and seen the croc before.  Here's a couple of extra pics that have since been added to the link, same pics but bigger:
