I reckon the only reason Atlas wasn't on it, was because it didn't leak like the other tracks.
This I Love, Scraped and Sorry also didn't leak but were on the record.
I'd say Atlas is stronger than Scraped and Sorry.

Axl was the producer and ultimately it falls on him.
I think he chose other songs to add more diversity of styles.
Atlas resembles Catcher, and has mid tempo and pacing similar to Street of Dreams, TWAT and Prostitute. I think it's the same reason Perhaps wasn't A-Listed.
Songs like Scraped, Riad and Shackler's tried to fill the rockers gap (but failed miserably).
Also, there's the anecdote of This I Love NOT being on the tracklist up to the last minute, due to Robin and Tommy's influence. Maybe Atlas was in there and was replaced by TIL.

Take out Silkworms because it doesn’t remotely fit in with the other songs. Replace it with IRS and there is your 2000 album of 10 songs. I am with Jimmythegent. A bucket solo on Twat and Irs would be the icing on the cake.

I think from old timers only me and Russ had a crush on Robin. Always liked his uniqueness and kinda got it regarding his approach to old songs.
Besides Twat I don't really have a love for Bucket's contributions and besides fretless on CD Wich I love, I think Ron was the right guy to keep it going but my NuGNR axemen would always be just Fortus and Finck

Prom Violence kicks some serious ass but is way way dated. The electronic insertions are cringy today and I'd bet it'd be the same at the time, as it sounds trying too hard to be contemporary.
Take that out and the song is solid.

Holy shit, not only have they supposedly soundchecked Hardschool, but Slash was filmed warming up backstage to Locomotive!
This is looking to be an interesting show that’s for sure!!!
Hardschool soundcheck rumors started on GnrSudamerica, a group known for fabricating news to get clicks before.
I really do hope it happens but until another source comes I'll not get my hopes up.
