Amazing work. Is this your profession or are some people just that good at stuff casually?

I'm sticking to my same prediction since this started....
GH/Best of fall 2016
CDII or something summer/fall 2017
A live cd/DVD mixed in there somewhere
Don't forget to add the "Axl Tax" which is 2 years to each of those dates

What is china's current position on things I wonder? Historically they supported North Korea but I doubt they would approve of this type of continual unprovoked aggression, however it seems likely any reaction by the USA would need to include China's cooperation or approval or things could escalate further which would be unfortunate to say the least.

This conflict is such a worry. I hope somehow there can eventually be a peaceful solution but it seems like they've been slowly developing weapons in the background for generations. If they actually get them the results could be horrific.

That's why I've been saying I would have liked a reunion album.
As logically after the usa this tour does south amercia, then asia, then europe, it will logically go on until early 2018.
Then they have to work up the album - which slash and duff could do in days with the CD songs but who knows if that will be the approach.
Then 6 months for the label to tool up for a major release.
So we're looking at 2019 for an album and that's if they take no down time. But lets face it - would be logical to give the market 12 months to reset between tours and the band take some time off - Axl to do other things - it could easily blow out to 2020 or longer....
Obviously looking forward to an aussie tour but I wish they'd opened with a record this time around.
Still the rumour is a GH record in december with a new song...that could keep us happy I guess.

A GH could be used to finish off commitments to the label allowing Axl to launch his own record company for future releases.

I wonder if we'll have a more interesting track list this time around, you'd assume some CD tracks.

A few thoughts of mine:
1. The problem with a 2-disc greatest hits set is the band has 4 full length albums and an EP to it's name. I guess because so many GNR songs are great you can release almost 50% of the entire discography as a greatest hits but it still seems a bit forced.
2. The next version of this we see will definitely have CD tracks included. I'd say the way they remain in the setlist post the reunion shows they're only going to be more important to the discography going forward rather than forgotten.
3. The demos and rare cuts are odd. I understand the desire to put something new to fans on there. I mean aside from the fun opening - shadow of your love was a B-side - does it really warrant a place on the greatest hits? Stuff like that seems better suited to an AFD remaster special edition or something.
4. The going rumour i've seen on forums is this will come out later in the year with SOME NEW SONGS added. As in new unreleased songs. Interesting.

I think they've done a great job trying to balance out catering to casuals and hardcores. They could perform nothing but a hits set and 90% of the crowd go home happy. Instead they are digging deep into UYI and TSI and that's not to please the average Joe who has Jungle, SCOM, and PC on their Ipods....its to please us.
I agree with this in general. It's a good mix. But I'm yet to hear any reason why they should do the exact same set two nights in a row in the same town? Why not add in one of the rehearsed alternate songs on the second night? No one is calling for drastic changes.
The reunion has only been going for a few months. Give them some time. YOu gave the last CD lineup eons of time to release an album that was never coming.
But it hasn't.
Ron said he knew slash was coming back when he quit in 2014. So it's been going almost two years now in private.
Slash has recorded albums in as little as two weeks.
Axl has 'unfinished' songs nearing 20 years old.
There is zero reason to "reset the clock". It's shameful they waited until Axl nearly lost his voice to get around to sorting out a childish power struggle. The last thing on earth they deserve or need now is more time.
Quite the contrary - a sense of urgency is what the band has lacked since AFD. Time to reignite the fire and prove to the world you have something left other than copying what you did at 28.

I'm in the minority on that. Everyone always says the demos are better but I think the finished album versions are better - although I would have liked a different mix/master job than we got. The one exception is catcher in the rye - where the rhythm of the piano intro is too lost on the record.
