GNR are in Dublin rehearsing just like the press release ages ago said they would be. Whether or not they are rehearsing new material like the press release said is anyones guess, pretty fuckin unlikely is mine.
I don't wanna get my hopes up, but I have to admit I'm kinda excited for the Dublin show!
From their Twitter:
@gunsnroses: in Dublin... hearing bells.. about to get rehearsing... nuf said.

But there is not A LOT of fans that goes to two shows in a row. My bet it's actually VERY FEW who do that.
Back in 2010 I went to both shows in Norway, but that is only because I have family and friends in both Bergen and Oslo.
Back in 2006, the thought of going to both shows was only in my thoughts for a few seconds before I settled on going to ONE. And I would bet a lot of money that there are very few people in Norway that spend more time on GNR than I do. YES, I know very well that some go to multiple shows, but lets not kid ourselfs, out of an arena/stadium crowd, those fans are VERY few. But I can understand that it's a tempting argument for those who are looking for something to complain about! And right now, for us hardcores there ARE things to complain about, but let's not act like we're thinking about those few fans that goes to multiple shows!
Normally I agree w/u but I just can't see any logic or rationality behind this post.
Not only is it an affront to the hardcores, who he owes, but to the casual fans who saw the same show whenever it was the last time they saw Axl. I don't understand how people fail to grasp r argue against this - which is obv something findental to the band they follow, i.e. part of their bizness model...
Maybe it was unclear from my post, but I was responding to Mikka saying that playing two almost identical sets two days in a row is a "huge middle finger to the hardcore Russian fans." That's why I went on a little rant about very few fans goes to see the same band two days in a row.
Had Mikka said that it was a "fuck you" to the fans that saw almost the same setlist in 2010, I would kinda agree. Because I do agree with what a lot of posters here are saying. This Euro tour should really give the hardcore fans a reason to fork over their money for a ticket. It really shouldn't be almost the same setlist as 2010 (or 2006 for that matter...)

That's one of the dumest things I've read on this board in a long time.
Show me where anyone walked away from one of these shows disappointed.

4 clear days now until the next gig. Time to rehearse that expanded set list!
Hmmmm.... Come to think of it. Isn't that what that article a few months back said. That they were spending some days in Ireland rehearsing..?
Well, we'll see. Something different should happen in Dublin!
#137 Re: Guns N' Roses » Moscow, Russia (2 Show Discussion) » 703 weeks ago
So this is the fourth Euro tour. I understand that Russia hasn't had a lot of GNR shows over the years (was it only a private one in 2010 or did they play a real show? I can't remember), so I can sort of understand the band not wanting to welcome the audience with completely unheard songs.
But when they play Dublin, something new should really see the light of day!
C'mon, it's the fourth time in Europe with Axl's new GNR, it's waaay over due to step up to the plate and put your shows where your mouths are, move on!
After all this talk of moving farward, and like someone else said, especially after the whole RRHOF stuff, it's time to prove that this new band has a genuine urge and will to mo e on from their nice and comfortable routine.
I thought for two seconds about maybe going to the Dublin show, since I got family over there, but decided I'm not spending any more money on THIS show. And if the first three or four shows don't show any willingness to keep a diehard Axl/GNR fan like me interested, then I'm done spending my time following this.
Anyway, judging from that CD-clip, the band and Axl sounded good and tight. And as expected, the fans at the show seemed to enjoy it. Good for them!
But this is about me!
And 'ol Naltav is starting to get selfish, give me something to spark my enthusiasm, Axl! Anything!

My iPod has 5 CD-songs at the top of "most played":
Shackler's
Prostitute
TWAT
This I Love
Better
I'm kinda excited to follow what's gonna happen on the next Euro tour that starts in a few days. Not that I'm planning on attending any of the shows (they're not coming to Norway!), but I'd love to see SOME hint of willingness to move forward.
I'll give them 2-3 shows. If they don't play any "new" CD material or something REALLY new by the current lineup, I will be dissapointed!
I've been supportive of Axl and all the lineups. But if we get yet another tour similar to the last US and Euro legs, even I gotta say: "What the fuck?! Enough already!!!"
