The China problem needs to be addressed. I’m hoping Europe joins with the US on this. The continued theft of IP, the allegations of bugging commercial tech, and the authoritarian nature of Xi’a government, make them the biggest threat of the west in the 21st century.
Anyone else actually been to China? Guangzhou monitors every email its people send. Counterfeit products are a national treasure.
I don’t think it’s improper to consider manufacturing US products in the US, especially as automation approaches. I’d rather companies use the 75k they pay for H1B visas to train Americans, than import foreign labor at the detriment of our citizens.

Ah the goalposts!
We are back-peddling to science now.
Here is the original quote:
Hard to enact something when a party wants to pretend men cutting off their dicks and thinking they’re a woman is a sane and rational action
So you don't think that is trans-phobic, disrespectful? I would imagine they would disagree.
.............but do carry on "debating" among yourselves. It sure is funny for the rest of us.
Yep, completely accurate, if crassly said. Cutting off your dick doesn’t make you a woman. A bunch of twitter dipshits saying the compulsion to feel you’re in the wrong body isn’t a serious mental condition, as stated in the DSM-6, doesn’t make it so.
But keep it going. You’re doing such a great job.

You should probably ask for me to be banned right after you are done moving those goalposts mate.
Including me with Mitch? Nice bait. Waiting for the truther tag next.
What goal post? What did I move. Can you explain how I was “transphobic” and define what gender is? Or are you all too eager to just vomit up trendy catch phrases to pretend there’s an iota of Intelligence to what you’re spewing?
If you link Alex Jones, believe 9/11 was an inside job, or think Trump worked with Putin over a piss tape, you’re god damn right I’ll call you a truther, because that’s what you categorize and label someone as who holds those absurd beliefs. That’s what we do with language. We use specific nomenclatures to reference very specific things. There’s a direct correlation to how effectively someone uses language and how intelligent they are. It’s clear what part of the spectrum you fall on.
“Transphobic”. Get the hell out of here.
You’re not even bothering to reply to my post with a quote. Just spreading bullshit.

It’s in the fucking DSM-6. The global standard for psychiatric evaluations and definitions. This isn’t up for debate. It’s like arguing pi isn’t 3.14 and an infinite string of numbers.
Gender isn’t real. It can’t be defined. None of you can provide an objective list of categories or characterizations that exclusively limit one gender from another. It’s a bullshit mantra parroted by those eager to pat themselves on the back as enlightened and progressive. It’s an anti- intellectual position. It is defined by its inability to be defined, so it is inherently unintelligent and meaningless due to its inherent ambiguity.
You either have an XX or XY pair of chromosomes. Men have the Y. Women lack it.
That’s not bigoted. It’s biology.
Calling others bigots because they state the nature of objective reality is a new low for this group. You should be ashamed. It’s no coincidence Mitch finds himself among you.

Oh cool. Let’s use bullshit terms to avoid having a rational or science backed opinion! Neat!
Is Gender Dysphoria in the DSM-5 and DSM-6? This is a yes or no question.
This is a post op trans woman.

Going through that surgery, I have no problem calling her a woman. And she's actually pretty hot, and I'm sure SG would fuck her.
Sure, I’m in no way saying someone with gender dysphoria should be denied surgery, should be harassed, or assaulted. If you want to have a relationship with her, go for it. Notice I used “her”, because I’m not an asshole and don’t go out of my way to harm people. But you chose someone that markets herself as a gorgeous woman. The hipster with a duck dynasty beard, and a tit job isn’t a woman. They aren’t gender fluid, and you can’t manufacture or remove the Y chromosome.
That’s my point. And it’s not transphobic to acknowledge gender dysphoria is a mental illness, and humans are a sexually dimorphic species.

The Columbine kids were YOUNGER and were not spurred by politics. They knew what They were doing. But the media and politicians used the moment to blame video games and Marilyn Manson, because they hated them. You're basically doing the same thing.
Bernie Sanders didn't laugh when it was suggested we shoot Congress I don't believe. I also never defended nor held any sympathy towards the El Paso shooter. Personally, I believe these folks need to be put to death. Quick, fast, in a hurry. Maybe about a year or two. Only reason not to is maybe it becomes a slippery slope again (Kill 10 people, kill 1) which could lead to false sentences again. But with video & definitive evidence of mass murder, there should be execution in my mind.
He continues to speak of revolution, while praising some of the bloodiest revolutionaries like Castro, so you could easily make a link if you really wanted to.
What do you mean “wanted to”? He openly supported the Soviet Union, honeymooning there. He openly praised Venezuela. Both of these nations were founded through violent revolutions based on Communist philosophy in the 20th century.
I’m not suggesting Sanders is in any way responsible for, or advocated for violence. Just as I reject any claim of Trump being held accountable. But if your standard for guilt is that your hyperbole resulted in some crazy doing something horrific, John Lennon committed suicide.
If you’re blaming Trump for every crazy on the right, you absolutely have to blame those who touted conspiracy after conspiracy, and labeled Trump or those who align politically with him as White Supremacist Nazis.

I like the idea of firearms restraining orders. Basically anyone who makes a violent, credible threat, or committed violence, is placed on a terrorist list and will be denied a firearm.
Don’t we already have this? Anyone convicted of a felony is prohibited from owning a weapon. Anyone convicted of domestic violence is prohibited from owning a firearm. Anyone presently under a restraining order is prohibited from owning a firearm.
The problem as we saw with the Texas church shooting a couple years ago, is that not all agencies and states want to report this information.
That’s why I asked PASnow if he knew how many people lie on their NICS form each year, and how many of them are actually prosecuted.
You can’t pretend to be tough on crime and want to end gun violence, then turn a blind eye to those who are caught in violation of the law.
#1439 Re: The Garden » US Politics Thread » 353 weeks ago
Do you hold Democrats responsible for the ICE shooter/bomber? The congressional shooter? The weekly assaults by Antifa?
I’m being serious. When 20 yahoos call the president a Nazi and say we have concentration camps, and liberal loons get violent in response, do you hold them accountable.
Did you even read the El Paso shooter’s manifesto? You should, because he agrees with you and Mitch an awful lot. I’m being serious. You know who he didn’t agree with? Trump.
But you didn’t bother to view that. You’re content to parrot CNN or whatever is on Twitter. But when someone is motivated by AOC to shoot federal agents, crickets.
Why?

(In case you didn’t know, I know this because they do it every time it’s brought up. Hard to enact something when a party wants to pretend men cutting off their dicks and thinking they’re a woman is a sane and rational action)
No, actually Democrats will likely point out Trump reversed "The Obama's" law which made it harder for mentally ill to obtain guns. So we're not about 5 years behind where we were on this issue.
Holy fuck, you really are ignorant on this topic. What did Obama’s EO do? Whom was affected by it? You clearly as are ignorant as Mitch on this subject.
Feel free to search my post history, because I supported Obama on this and opposed Trump. But not a single mass shooter was on SSI for a mental illness.
You really don’t have any idea what you’re talking about. You’re why nothing ever gets done. You’re loud and ignorant, and have no interest in understanding reality. You’ll harp on this, then when 8 black guys get smoked in one weekend in Philly, you won’t even blink.
