man, buckethead is the best. i marked out as soon as i heard the killswitch on the intro to silkworms.
that's a very interesting breakdown. any idea what axl is singing? almost sounds kind of radiohead-like.
some actual lyrics could have made this song a winner. it's a shame axl wasted a monster of an instrumental with such wacky lyrics.
brain is a beast. probably the best part of the song.
bucket's solo on oh my god was really cool to hear. the song EXPLODES after his part. i think i still like the original a bit better, though.

i think axl's performance of shadow of your love should dispel the rumors that he re-recorded vocals for the single release.
he had 0 idea how to keep in time during the first verse. he was all over the fuckin' place. clearly one of the first times he's sung it since the 80s.
he didn't sound too bad on it, though. pretty cool performance. hopefully we get a stronger one with better camera work. the band sounds monstrous.

- axl will sound better than 2017, but not as good as peak 2016
- they might open a few shows with shadow of your love
- wichita lineman and black hole son dropped from other covers nobody wants to hear
- chinese democracy songs dropped for more appetite material
hopefully i'm wrong, but it's hard to get excited for anything at this point.

the whole situation with izzy is a bummer.
the writing was on the well when he did a song about money with matt sorum of all people.

as much as i love him, the truth is izzy never would have worked as a full-time member of this massive touring machine.
he's much more suited for a one-off appearance at a big show. if we saw it with adler, it's possible we see it with izzy, but i'm not holding my breath.

got drunk and pre-ordered the super deluxe edition on amazon.
this video being included is one of the coolest things about the entire boxset and totally unexpected.
An unreleased version of the video for GN'R song "It's So Easy", directed by Englishman Nigel Dick features Everly in bondage gear, with a red ball in her mouth as Axl screams, "See me hit you! You fall down!" The singer, according to a former associate, went to some lengths to gather up the few existing copies of the tape after Everly went to court against him.
all things considered, it's crazy that axl would allow this to a featured part of the boxset, especially during the #metoo movement. one in a million gets wiped, but this video gets unearthed after 30 years and featured as a selling point? wackiest band in the world.

glad to know they're working on something. since it by rule cannot be new music, it has to be a blu-ray/dvd of some kind.
some other takeaways:
- gnr will be touring for years and years to come
- troubadour 2016 dvd will never happen
- management hates marc canter
- lithos are coming back for the next tour leg
- fernando oversees the gn'r clothing department
- fernando loves izzy
- gnr toy semi trucks will be going on sale
- fernando wanted to set the record straight that he did not leak cd

unless the remaster sounds absolutely unreal, i'll probably pass on the vinyl.
i already have 2 copies of the record: one i listen to, and an original pressing of the banned cover that i'll never actually play unless i'm wasted out of my mind.
