Next time you'll need give back your AFD CD to buy CD II.
I had almost forgotten that I had a package coming my way.
I signed up for a membership mainly to support the band. Had I gotten an AFD-shirt, well... my old one is starting to fade anyway. But I agree with what others have said. It did strike me as a bit odd, considering the whole "moving forward" mentality that they are trying to convince the world of...
But that new one is WAY better!

Think it was Eddie Trunk who mentioned it around the time of the actual ceremony.
Without Axl signing off on it, no show on TV for us...

I didn't know Mick Jones was quitting. That is fucking INSANE. So you literally have Foreigner running around, called 'Foreigner' and there is literally NO ONE in that band that was originally there. WOW.
I know Paul & Gene have talked about doing that with KISS when they retire.
I wonder if you'll see the day that Axl runs out Guns N' Roses with everybody you see now, but Sebastian Bach on lead, and calls it "GN'R" and then just rakes in the cash.

Have you heard the story about Boney M? I only recently heard some DJ on the radio talking about it.
Boney M had a show in Norway at the same day another version of Boney M was playing a show in Germany!
According to their wikipage, "a court ruling of 1990 stated that all four members are entitled to perform their own Boney M. shows"
Axl touring as GNR suddenly doesn't sound so weird...:haha:

I brought up the Dizzy complaint about pricing because Dizzy himself did. I don't know why Dizzy didn't didn't go to the Rock Hall ceremony, nor do I care because I wasn't all that interested in it.
Like I said before. My bet is that within a short while, this whole RRHOF-thingy is gonna be forgotten (as far as the avarage Joe is conserned). I mean, fuck, if the RHCP came to my town, I'd buy a ticket in a heartbeat! And I wouldn't know jack shit that they were just inducted into this RRHOF.
THAT'S the reality of the situation!
Sure some of you die-hard-reunion fans are gonna be still pissed about the "Velvet Revolver feat. Adler/Myles"-performance on this private club going on in Ohio(!). But in a few weeks, GNR is starting a summer tour of Europe with sold out gigs! The RRHOF is NOT the Oscars of the music business! It just isn't! Just because a private company labels something the THE HALL OF FAME, doesn't really mean anything! The RRHOF wanted a specific thing to happen this weekend, they didn't get it! And I'm sure they're gonna suffer financially, because they are not gonna get the licence to air GNR-songs on TV (which is prolly why they played LIVE-clips from MTV during the show. At least that's what I heard) Boo-hoo! NEXT!
Mostly, I've stayed away from this discussion, because it doesen't mean anything to me.
Sure, label me as a nutswinger or whatever "original" thought passes through your brain. The pages here on this topic in the last couple of weeks has been a "last chance" for certain fans to see their wish come true. It didn't! And now you're angry! Or sad. I get that! But for some of you, maybe the time has finally come to either get on the bus, or.... Well you know. It's not a happy ending. But this is what you got.
And if the next album or tour DO suffer as a result of an "insult to the fans" and the band goes downhill from here on and we never hear from Axl again, then THAT'S what happens.
My life still goes on, and so does a lot of people's lives......

well, in general a negative person will complain in the easiest way possible.
someone with an attempt to reach out to axl in this situation may pick up the phone or send an email or message via website, etc. you wouldn't hear about those. the supporters may also go unnoticed because everyone is a hard ass online.

Now that the RRHOF seems to go tits up, they should put THIS guy up on that stage! Shows the impact GNR has had on some people!

We had a full press day yesterday and I'd like to shed some light on my comments about the current Guns N Roses lineup. Sometimes my emotions get the best of me when talking about my former band. It’s hard to see your ex in bed with somebody else. We created one of the biggest selling debut albums of all time and it’s no secret that I want to finish what we started 25 years ago and play together at the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame. The guys that Axl has put together are all great players. They’re not hacks in the sense that they can’t play, they’re all incredible musicians. I just meant that they are not the original lineup. I would like to apologize to Axl, Bumblefoot, D.J., Tommy, Dizzy, Richard, Frank, and Chris for my statement.
