Sorum...I just feel he makes it all lock together in a cohesive way.

sorum can pretty much do everything great except for the intro to mr. brownstone.

that's always been a disaster. it's like a white guy trying to rap.

I'm pretty sure Wags was talking about whatever fucking cocksucker (and I hope they get cancer) ended up getting YouTube to strike down all of the Saskatoon videos with Uzi Suicidal copyright claims.

He wasn't talking about you imsorry. We've always enjoyed your remixes and uploads.

the rumor is that gn'r hired some dude to use the uzi suicidal llc name to take down copyrighted material, but the dude's account got hacked by warchild, who is now running rampant with it.

#153 Re: Guns N' Roses » Which version of Appetite did you buy? » 383 weeks ago

so who the fuck is actually buying the locked n' loaded edition? the most hardcore of hardcore fans are scoffing at that $1,000 price tag.

at this point, most gn'r fans either have families to support or massive student loan debt. there can't be 10,000 super hardcore diehard fans with budgets that big.

these things are gonna wind up at best buys next to dusty bins full of free chinese democracy cds.

i don't trust adler's memory, but '86 was way before he was too fucked up and i think the dude would recognize his own drumming.

i just have no idea who this could be if it's not steven. no fuckin' way it's frank, rob gardner, brain or josh freese.

it must just be eq'd and sped up so much that steven can't recognize it.

axl is an absolute monster here.

the way he screamed FUCK YEAH in the second live and let die scream was cool as fuck.

i'm pretty sure he was actually possessed by something during the garden. he was in another zone, brother. you can almost see a spirit leave him after the song ends.

i am about to watch the everloving fuck out of this!

a proshot of them doing acoustic songs on the couch? never thought we'd see that.

hopefully uncle axl takes a look at the fan reaction between the locked and loaded boxset and this and smartens up a bit.

my first thought after hearing this was "adler fucking rules."

tbh, shadow of your love is a pretty unremarkable track without his signature swing and feel.

this boxset is going to completely reinforce the notion that steven adler was always THE drummer of guns n' roses.

do we know if a version of you could be mine exists with him on drums? i'd lose my goddamn mind over that.

in fact, they should just start re-releasing all these different albums with re-recorded drums from adler. uyi 1 & 2, spaghetti incident, hell... even chinese democracy. imagine the title track of that song with steven on drums. it would be the weirdest and best thing ever.

I’m most curious about The Plague and New Work Tune

do we know anything about either of these songs?

i don't think i've ever even heard new work tune mentioned before.

probably just a blues jam or something?

if this is financially successful, which it's almost guaranteed it will be, then we could be looking at huge deluxe editions for use your illusion and chinese democracy as well. uyi boxset in 2021 and chinese democracy boxset next year.

only guns n roses could find a way to reunite and finally release "new" music featuring new vocals and guitars from axl and slash, but only on re-recorded songs from 30 years ago. this is my favorite and least favorite band in the world.

no way on earth i'm dropping $700 on the locked & loaded version, but i'll grab whatever they drop on vinyl and the cds.

if gnr.fm is a new streaming service, i wonder what gnr's future with spotify might be?

if they opened up the chinese democracy vault, then i might be willing to bust open the piggy bank. you could load that shit up with goodies and us hardcore fans would go fucking bonkers over it. they could make millions just by compiling shit we already know exists.

- documentary about the making of the album
- the 4 2001 concerts on dvd/blu ray
- the 2000 intentions version of the album
- the 2006 version of the album
- a remaster with new parts from slash and duff
- the remixes
- the unreleased music videos
- the general and atlas shrugged

htgth just got a whole lot more interesting. i have a sudden urge to go back and ready every one of jarmo's posts.

as a side note, i'm starting to wonder if frank has re-recorded the drum parts of appetite. axl specifically called the drums out in the past, and lord knows adler has been running his damn mouth again. frank, meanwhile, has been a loyal company man for over a decade now and only got to play on a few songs on chinese democracy.

group all those things together, and we may soon be hearing the version worst mr. brownstone in history!
