lol
I can't believe some of the diehard fan boys that actually believe that. The songs are great, but you can hear the 'ripoff' influences from other artists all over them.

The only way they could do that movie again imo is if they made it really flamboyant like The Birdcage or something.
I think the old dark-twinged gay lifestyle stuff is kind of an idea and genre that won't appeal to today's audience.

In alot of ways it's similar to the 80's. Everything is so massively streamlined right now, that it's become a very commercial decade for music.
Rap currently is a long time bastardized version of what it originally was, and is it's era's glam/hair metal. Emo was created in the producer's office. Pop has always been commerical. And there's alot of throwback 80's sound bands out there right now. Coldplay & The Killers sound straight out of the 80's.
I don't think any genres are really revolutionizing the business right now. And even when Guns & Metallica saved the 80's in the latter end, all GN'R was doing was reviving old rock and Metallica old metal.
When we catagorize the 2000's it'll be a punchline down the line. It's kind of like the summer of movies at the theater, and everything is a sequel.

A journalist would ever post something "off the record". He wouldn't do it, because he'd never fucking work again in the business. It's about the most unethical thing one can do as a journalist.
It's just some fanboy fucktard.
As for Hamonix being scared of GN'R pulling the song... heh... if the song is in the game, the papers are already signed. GN'R are on this ship, whether they like it or not.
#18077 Re: The Sunset Strip » The Films of George A. Romero » 884 weeks ago
I've been meaning to. For zombie films, Land was okay (most zombie films are shit, even Romero's crap is gold compared to most)... but it left me majorly disappointed. It by no means was Night or Dawn in any universe, it also fell drastically short of Day.
Plus the whole Blair Witch-esque twist to Diary... I wasn't in any hurry to go out and see it. I'll try to check it out now.

Excluding Halloween II... best Myers sequel. The Producer's Cut version, not the godawful Theatrical Cut.

I'm going to see The X-Files sometime this weekend but I think I'm finally gonna see TDK in IMAX at some point too.
I'm also going to try to see The X-Files: I Want To Believe this weekend too.
#18080 Re: The Sunset Strip » Christian Bale Arrested » 884 weeks ago
They also are saying Bale has been estranged from his mother for the past 20 years, and they do not have a good relationship.
When Bale was still a child, his parents divorced and he was forced to choose between his mother or father. He chose his father, and was raised in the states, and his father became his manager. His mother has apparently resented him for that ever since and their relationship has been very icey.
Bale's mother and sister are now doing interviews all over the U.K. for major amounts of money, and it's seeming more and more this was a setup from the get to get money out of Bale. All coincidentally happening after the big opening week of The Dark Knight in the U.S.
The mother and sister are claiming he took out his aggression after his troubled marriage on them.
Bale denies the claims and says he's happily married, and no troubles. He also still denies their side of the story.
This was an embezzlement move by the mother & sister. Sad.
This is all according to TMZ
