You should learn to handle adversity instead of folding up. Pretty soon looking at a woman will be rape.
You’re like 5 years late dude. There was a buzzfeed video years ago that said women are raped by cat calls, raped by men’s eyes, and raped by the way their fathers discipline them. Granted it’s fringe shit, but so were identity politics a decade ago.

Wha.....?!
Trump gave clemency to a black woman convicted to life in prison under Clinton for dealing narcotics. Kardashian advocated on her behalf last week during her White House visit.

Or, here me out on this. Democrats support legislation that actually benefits Americans and protects our borders. An open border isn’t a policy. Allowing every person who snuck across, wasn’t immediately captured, and never raped or murdered, to stay isn’t a policy either.
If you don’t do anything to prevent millions more from illegally coming, all you’re doing (as we’ve already done twice) is tell people once you’ve made it over, just wait 30 years and we’ll give you amnesty. So when Democrats are willing to be adults and consider real border security and things like e-verify, then we can give those who’ve led productive lives the amnesty they deserve.
Borders are real and national security is a real obligation the President has. Obama illegally created DACA, after previously acknowledging he lacked the legal authority to do so. There’s no overreach you can point to with Trump that is remotely similar. The President can temporarily halt specific non-citizens from entering the country. He can’t grant legal status to anyone congress hasn’t authorized him to do so.
Yes, Trump is a narcissist of epic proportions. But his election is just as legitimate as Obama’s. If you don’t see the irony in people who remained absolutely silent, if not celebratory when Obama enacted DACA, all of a sudden cry executive overreach when Trump removes it, we're not having a genuine discussion. If you don’t see the irony in the people who remained silent, if not celebratory when Clinton ignored a subpoena and deleted her emails, wiped her server, and LIED about doing so, now outraged at the mere accusation Trump obstructed Justice, we’re not having a genuine conversation.
Do I think all candidates and events are equal, no I do not. But if you were silent when Clinton and Obama abused their positions, you lack any real credibility when you’re all of a sudden alarmed that Trump fired a guy he didn’t like or pisses on our shoes and tells us it’s raining with a straight face. Consistency.
Let’s just assume everything you say is exactly correct...then the same people who were outraged over Clinton and Obama elected an even worse version of them both....then wouldn’t they also lack any credibility making the whole damn thing a farce?
That street goes both ways.
Yea, they're both hypocrites. Are you expecting me to defend the intelligence of the average voter? They cling to an idea and find any information to corroborate it. It doesn't matter how absurd, anything remotely possible is accepted. Bush planned 9/11, Obama was a Kenyan Muslim drafted by George Soros to usurp the country, Hillary personally killed 5 marines in Benghazi and deleted the email evidence to prove it while embezzling billions from The Clinton Foundation, Trump worked with Putin to steal the election because Putin has a video of Trump being pissed on by Russian prostitutes and to build hotels. It keeps getting more and more absurd, and millions are eager to believe the next absurdity. You'll also notice that the amount of people who believe the conspiracies increases as the accusations increased in absurdity. Believing 9/11 was an inside job was the real fringe when it first started. A lot more people bought into the birther bullshit than bought into 9/11. I'd argue more people believe Trump personally and knowingly worked with Russia to win than bought into the Benghazi bullshit.
These aren't groups of people who are swayed by a lot of thought and evidence. So for them to lack any logical consistency in their beliefs isn't surprising or shocking. That's my whole point. There is a segment of the population who isn't interested in having an intelligent discussion on the topic of any president in recent memory. We can debate on size and the exact cutoff, but we all agree it's there. So let's make an active effort to be consistent. If it was right then, it is right now. If it's wrong now, it was wrong then.
Then let's move forward and focus on the reality Donald Trump will be our president until at least January 2021 unless actual, irrefutable, direct evidence of him "cheating" during the election by intentionally working with Russia is provided. Even if Mueller does the incredibly destructive act of suggesting Trump could be found guilty of obstruction for firing Comey, Trump will remain in office until the end of his term. Democratic leadership is hesitant to even mention impeachment. It's Waters and Green and a bunch of left wing bloggers. Impeaching Trump, even if the DNC could unite in a 2019 assumed majority to bring articles, I bet there'd be infighting on actually voting for impeachment. Because it's bullshit, and Democrats want the ability to fire a "Comey" if they win the next time a "Comey" fucks them the week before an election. And you'd never get the 67 votes through the Senate. It's a waste of god damn time, and everyone in power realizes how polarized the population is. We don't need that.
So focus on policy, and let Trump sign whatever bill Congress can work out. He just wants a win, so give it to him and let a Democratic House and a Republican Senate draft decent legislation to get Trump to sign. Then vote him out in 2020. But stay consistent, so we don't polarize to the extremes in unintelligent shouting matches.

Trump is in a league of his own with his lying....and provoking...and he enjoys embarrasing people so people do it back to him.
Agreed. So work with your party to ensure there’s a legitimate candidate to beat him in 2020. Bernie isn’t going to cut it.

Sure, for the Trump folks. A lot of people are just sick of all of it though. Trump has major issues for sure. Hillary had major issues as well, but you seem willing to overlook those for whatever reason, which is your right but you can't bitch when the Trump supporters overlook his. I'm fed up with the hypocritical BS. Roseanne gets fired...that's fine. Samantha Bee apologizes and that's fine because she attacked someone attached to Trump, so it's okay? Then clowns like Stewart rationalize it by saying that the other side is hypocritical? No asshat, you're all hypocrites.
I don’t know. I make a distinction between Roseanne and Bee. First off, Roseanne has always been wacky and posting infowars conspiracy level shit. So I was a little surprised that her past wasn’t brought up when the show first aired and even before. It just so happens she was looney tunes on all politics, posting 9/11 and Iraq conspiracies a decade ago, as well as the pizza shop pedophile absurdities. I don’t know if she really called Jarret a monkey because she’s black or just classically unattractive, but she called a person who identifies as a black soman an ape, and there are social consequences for that. Remember when Robert Byrd used the word “niggardly” in the late 90s? A perfectly acceptable word, but because it’s phonetically very similar to the “worst” word in the English language, at least in America, it was taboo.
Roseanne is bonkers, and the “resistance” was salivating at the chance to end her highly successful show because it normalized/humanized Trump voters. She doesn’t get much sympathy from me, and ABC can do what they want. My assumption is any spin off won’t be nearly as successful, but I’ll tune in.
Don’t forget that Trump championed the birther garbage. His persona is cut from the same cloth as the bullshit Roseanne had been peddling since Twitter gave her a platform. My problem with with “resistance” is that they don’t want to play by the rules. Trump was legitimately elected and faces the most hostile media any President has ever faced. A fucking “investigation” has loomed over his entire presidency based on outrageous accusations that have no evidence to support them. The Director of the FBI and the Special Counsel have personally cleared him of any involvement with Russia during the election, which was Mueller’s scope related to Trump in relation to the investigation to surmise what the fuck Russia did during the election. The resistance wants to get Trump out by finding evidence of ANY wrongdoing in hopes to derail his presidency. I don’t think Pelosi or Schumer have any intent of moving to impeach. They’re both content to remain mum and allow Mueller to work and keep the media frenzy on 24/7 because our President is the greatest narcissist of the 21st century. But the resistance will use any tactic to try to find SOMETHING on Trump.
But that doesn’t change the fact he was either a nut job, or offensively used the race based pursuit of the extreme right to derail Obama’s legitimate election to the presidency, in order to establish a start for his eventual run. Either way, I find it unacceptable and it’s why he didn’t get my vote. But the voters knew this, and elected him anyway. That’s the rules of the game. Roseanne wasn’t elected to anything, so she pays the piper for being a conspiracy nut.
Bee used a “bad word”. Being offensive towards the “right” is what she’s paid to do. It’s the same thing as Michelle Wolfe at the WHCD. She’s paid to offer a comedic view that is vulgar and antagonistic towards Republicans. That’s free speech and selling a legal product.
In short, Bee’s paid to be a cunt. Roseanne wasn’t paid to compare a black woman to an ape in 2018.
People apparently think it’s rare and commendable to not be a racist in 2018. So they need to look for any opportunity they can conjure to remind us how wrong racism is. A so-called Trump supporter in this climate knew the dangers when she took the gig.

Yeah its bullshit ... tariffs for canadian metal ... nice
This fucking guy is using his business strong arm tactics to try and negotiate a global trade deal
Canada and America are so intertwined with building and auto industries i just dont understand the backwards logic...what is this the 60s?
Now canada has implemented counter tariffs...good luck getting whiskey, beer, maple syrup, ketchup and toilet paper bitches!
Lol
EU and Mexico expected to retaliate with tariffs as well
This has to be the dumbest trump move to date
As usual, there’ll be celebrating by his supporters but no actual assessment of whether it helped or hurt them.
What is your analysis, Mitch?

So when given a choice to actually practice law or give up his talk show tour, he chose the talk show tour. And the networks gave this man millions in air time because he was provocative. They’ve learned nothing from their frenzy during the election and Trump.
Seriously, at what point do we all acknowledge network and social media is complete shit? It’s not interested in truth or keeping people informed. It’s about giving people with boring lives drama to keep them engaged.

Anyone see Roseanne post hateful and bigoted things and get her show cancelled and cost her cast mates jobs?
nah....didn't think so....
Of course. I don't agree it was inherently racist (I don't subscribe to the trope that anytime you compare a black person to an ape it's racist and don't believe any intelligent person does either for a myriad of reasons), but ABC is free to do what they want. But I think you're missing the point.
Millions share an image of illegal immigrant children being detained, claiming it's current and how horrible Trump and his immigration laws are. Reality comes in and says "Hey, Bro. That photo was from 2014 under Obama". Millions stutter and stammer, we all acknowledge the hypocrisy and move on.
You come in the thread, compelled to defend idiocy for some reason, and post about Roseanne, a comedian made famous for portraying the low-information voter/white trash character, saying something that was stupid. So? I don't think you fully grasp the point raised, and sadly, you provide proof that the larger discussion isn't about being honest or having an intelligent discussion, just scoring points.
I'm not interested in participating in that discussion. And I don't really believe you are either.
