Britney a Big Spender, Court Docs Reveal

LOS ANGELES (Nov. 2) - The pop princess is a big spender.

Court papers released Thursday in Britney Spears' custody dispute with Kevin Federline show she spends lavishly on clothes and entertainment, and doesn't save or invest any of her roughly $737,000 monthly income.

Spears' monthly expenses include $49,267 in mortgage for two houses, $16,000 for clothes and $102,000 on entertainment, gifts and vacation, according to her financial declaration.

Although she's often photographed eating fast food, Spears declares she spends about $4,758 per month dining out. Meanwhile, she spends zero on education, savings and investments and gives $500 a month in charitable contributions, the documents said.

She has to pay her ex-husband $15,000 per month in child support and $20,000 in spousal support. Spousal support will end Nov. 15.

As for Federline, his biggest monthly expenses include $7,500 in rent and $6,000 in security, according to his financial declaration.

The dancer-turned-rapper has a comparably modest monthly budget for clothes - just $2,000. He also spends about $5,000 on entertainment, gifts and vacation, and $1,500 eating out.

Federline earned more than a half-million dollars in 2006, mainly from entertainment and endorsement deals, but after business expenses only grossed $7,436 that year. He receives $15,000 per month in child support.

After-hour calls to attorneys representing Spears and Federline were not immediately returned.

The documents also show Spears had to temporarily surrender custody of her sons to Federline because she defied a court order.

In a Sept. 28 order, Superior Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon prohibited the divorced couple from driving their children unless they're properly insured and have a valid driver's license.

The pop star disobeyed the order when she was photographed driving Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, a few days after the Sept. 28 order.

She was ordered Oct. 2 to relinquish her children "until further order of the court" when she wasn't able to prove compliance with Gordon's order, namely proof of a valid California driver's license.

The two previously had joint custody of their sons, and Federline was seeking a greater share of custody. After he got temporary custody, Spears went to a motor vehicles department office and got a temporary driver's license.

Now, I have a certain view on this.  She earned the money  and can spend it as she pleases.  But when she had her children her life should take a back seat and she needs to concentrate on her sons lives.

If she keeps spending the way she does, she'll be bankrupt.

So is this what you are trying to say?

An open letter to our fans:

The staff of the former ROV regrets to announce that the following features have been cancelled:

the who is viewing a topic

Due to the quick attempt to restore a defunct site online, valuable time needed by the  staff and the ISP  for the proper setup and release of the new site (insert new name here) would be lost. Rather than delay the site yet again all involved have decided to remove this feature. We sincerely hope our fans understand and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone.

To say the making of a site has been an unbearably long and incomprehensible journey would be an understatement. Overcoming the endless and seemingly insanity of the obstacles faced by all involved, not withstanding the emotional challenges endured by everyone: the fans, and other webmasters  has at many times seemed for all like a bad dream where one wakes up only to find they are still in the nightmare and unfortunately this time it has been played out for over a decade in real life.

The true ongoing behind-the-scenes triumphs and casualties are much more complicated than any negative speculation that HTGTH or otherwise has managed to hit upon. For much of the time some form or another of legalities have been taking place that really the best way to deal with publicly was to keep our mouths shut in an attempt to ensure the best outcome and especially one that wouldn't jeopardize the staff or the website. One can easily point to how others have done things or how they themselves feel that they would were they in the same situations but without full knowledge of the various dynamics and circumstances involved, again these types of comments or commentary are uninformed, outside, generally useless and often hindering speculation.

When I agreed to do a new site, I agreed with the understanding that I and my manager Brody were in full agreement as to our strategy,  and most importantly that any and all things needed to release the site at the latest by Dec. 26th were to be in place. Unfortunately this turned out not to be the case and not only do I regret to say that again the site feature will not be available by the end of the year but that though many things went extremely well and were very exciting there were in our opinion unnecessary and avoidable complications on our pm messages  having to do with the ISP, that played hell on all involved especially our crew. This was compounded by an overall sense of a lack of respect by Brody for the fans and each individual's particular expertise that has resulted unfortunately in the end of both ROV and my relationship in having a management or sense of website involvement with Brody.

In regard to a release date for the website features  itself certain minor and by that I do mean minor things and or additions as well as contract negotiations need to be completed and barring any unforeseen complications these things have now been adequately scheduled. Both DTJ and I along with our crew feel that this site deserves the proper setup and promotion not the "it's not ROV because you don't own the copyright to the name" approach offered by Brody and his minions. We believe this strategy may have been used in order for management to sell this latest website to the various ISP providers. We feel that if this was so, this was obviously unfair to them. The stress of dealing with this situation has been considerable for everyone as well as to the staff  themselves as a whole but that this was more importantly in our opinion something utterly insane to do to our fans. Our apologies and please know DTJ and Ihave been laboring over this with  Brody for the last year.

That being said this is not a promise, a lie or a guarantee but we do wish to announce a tentative release date of March 6th. This is the first time we have done this publicly for this website. Any and all other dates have been made up by others for their own reasons. We would like to assure the fans that though tentative everything in our power will be done to meet this date. Once it is finalized and official you will be notified. If we are delayed for unseen reasons you will also be notified as soon as possible in regard to a new date and the website features will be released as shortly thereafter as is possible. We thank you for your patience.

In the end it's just a website and one that I and others  involved believe and feel is a true Guns N' Roses websote   Ultimately the public will decide and regardless of the outcome our hearts, lives and our passion has been put into this project every step of the way. If for no other reason we feel those elements alone merit your consideration. We do hope you can hold on just a bit longer and if not we hope you would please feel free to take a break and we'll be more than glad (if you so choose) to see you again later.

Once again, our sincere apologies and our deepest thanks. All the best to each and every one of you over this holiday season, thank-you and God bless.

Sincerely,
James Lofton

I have to admit, they were the better opening band for GNR on tour last year.

I just bought Getting away with Murder.

Well, if Uni has the album, won't they say something?  What reasons do they have to not say at least this:

"We have Chinese Democracy now and we hope to release it in the next year".

They have nothing to lose if the ball is in their court.

If they have it then can't they say anything they want and end all this secrecy/silent treatment bullshit?

I bought this and I have to admit, I never realized Slash suffered from kleptomania.

I haven't forgot Axl's statement. The 2007 tour was extremely hypocritical considering they supposedly canceled those shows to complete the album. They never should have been on a stage until the album was in stores.

And in February we got that statement that Del issued that said all recording is done, right?

My point is that Axl himself said we'd be notified as soon as possible if a delay or if anything stood in the way as well as a new release date, right?

I take that to mean an OFFICIAL update.  Not one from Mysteron who posts at HTGTH and is very vague.

I don't care if he's friends with Axl.  The fact remains if Axl can issue that letter and also if Del can say the recording is done, then surely we should get an official update to whether or not the album is in the hands of the record company and if it is, what delays are caused by this if the ball is in their court.

Maybe the whole ball is in their court thing is what I don't buy.  That statement right there seems to me someone is trying awfully hard to sound like they are in the know when like I said, it has been all over the forums that the record company has been holding up the release and because Mysteron says it we are supposed to take it as gospel?

I am not believing anything until I get an official update.  And even if Axl were to officially update us I am not so sure I'd even buy what he says considering he's stretched the truth on many occasions so I hope we get something official from Uni.

Wow, how quickly some forget this bit of info:

An open letter to our fans:

Guns N' Roses regrets to announce that the following concert tour dates have been cancelled:

January 10th Sacramento

January 11th Bakersfield

January 13th Reno

January 16th San Diego

Due to the schedule of these particular shows valuable time needed by the band and record company for the proper setup and release of the album Chinese Democracy would be lost. Rather than delay the album yet again all involved have decided to remove these shows from GNR's schedule. We sincerely hope our fans understand and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone. Tickets may be refunded at local point of purchase.

To say the making of this album has been an unbearably long and incomprehensible journey would be an understatement. Overcoming the endless and seemingly insanity of the obstacles faced by all involved, not withstanding the emotional challenges endured by everyone: the fans, the band, our road crew and business team has at many times seemed for all like a bad dream where one wakes up only to find they are still in the nightmare and unfortunately this time it has been played out for over a decade in real life.

The true ongoing behind-the-scenes triumphs and casualties are much more complicated than any negative speculation that media or otherwise has managed to hit upon. When I agreed to do our recent North American tour I agreed with the understanding that I and my manager Merck Mercuriadis were in full agreement as to our strategy, touring plans and most importantly that any and all things needed to release the album at the latest by Dec. 26th were to be in place. Unfortunately this turned out not to be the case and not only do I regret to say that again the album will not be released by the end of the year but that though many things went extremely well and were very exciting there were in our opinion unnecessary and avoidable complications on our tour having to do with the tour routing, scheduling and album and video plans that played hell on all involved especially our crew. This was compounded by an overall sense of a lack of respect by management for the band and crew and each individual's particular expertise that has resulted unfortunately in the end of both Guns and my relationship in having a management or sense of band involvement with Merck Mercuriadis.

In regard to a release date for the album itself certain minor and by that I do mean minor things and or additions as well as contract negotiations need to be completed and barring any unforeseen complications these things have now been adequately scheduled. Both the band and I along with our record company feel that this record deserves the proper setup and promotion not the '13 Tuesdays left' and 'it may just appear in your record store' approach offered by management. We believe this strategy may have been used in order for management to sell this latest tour to the various promoters. We feel that if this was so, this was obviously unfair to them. The stress of dealing with this situation has been considerable for everyone as well as to the band themselves as a whole but that this was more importantly in our opinion something utterly insane to do to our fans. Our apologies and please know we have been laboring over this with management for the entire North American tour.

It takes approximately 8 weeks for an album to hit the shelves once it has been turned in to the record company. For whatever reasons it appears it may have been mistakenly inferred by management that this could be condensed to three. That being said this is not a promise, a lie or a guarantee but we do wish to announce a tentative release date of March 6th. This is the first time we have done this publicly for this album. Any and all other dates have been made up by others for their own reasons. We would like to assure the fans that though tentative everything in our power will be done to meet this date. Once again, our sincere apologies and our deepest thanks, Guns N' Roses would also like to thank all the fans who attended the 70 concerts in 21 different countries for their support in 2006. All the best to each and every one of you over this holiday season, thank-you and God bless.

Axl Rose

So Mysteron is the one who will tell us that the delay is now due to the Record Company?  Sure.  What happened to Axl's little statement telling us that we'd be notified and not by some mysterious friend of the band (aka Mysteron) but by the band itself or better yet by Axl himself?

Not buying what Mysteron says because it's been all over the internet prior to Mysteron saying this that the record company was in the way of the release.  I first saw it on cd.com when a poster said he met Ron and Ron said something about record companies.  It's also posted by Glen in that Axl Rose heights thread that the record company is holding up the release.  Mysteron could of very well just read the boards and made his usual vague statement to appear that he is in the know.

When Uni says "hey we got CD and it is delayed due to x, y, and z" or if Axl says, "hey, I've turned in CD and now the record company has to make some decisions" then I'll believe it but not because Mysteron said it.

It'd be like if I said, "hey, the record company is holding up CD due to the color of the album sleeve" and then later Mysteron says "the record company is having problems choosing the album sleeve color".
