#2721 Re: The Garden » Anyone interested or liking theatre here ? » 955 weeks ago

The ones I have seen and like are Cats, Phantom of the Opera and Les Misrables (I've seen that three times).

When I was little my mum used to play a lot of the music from those 3 on the stereo at home so I got to know the music and songs quite well (I can actually sing along to a lot of the lyrics - lol).

I can definitely appreciate the music and the voices of the singers.

I remember I first saw Cats when I was about 16 - that was fantastic all these fit girls in cat suits and I was 16 and a bag of hormones.  16

#2722 Re: The Garden » Is Higher Education A Good Idea? » 955 weeks ago

I did - I studied Finance.

Uni was bascially a good excuse to do nothing for about 3 years - well for me a good excuse not to get a serious full time job.  Plus it was bascially just a party - my contact time was 12 hours a week (assuming I went to all the lectures etc).  I was basically out partying and drinking most days/nights. - Man I would love to do it again.

It all depends upon what you want to do.  For me is was purely a piece of paper to get me in the door where I wanted to work and that's about all,  (well what I learnt does have some relevance and practical application to my job surprisingly enough) but it's not like I got really high results or anything.  When it came to job time it was basically "ok you have a relevant degree - good" and that's about it.  Then it was more about who I was as a person that was important as to whether I got the job.

Maybe it's ABBA - when did they last play together. 16

2. "Metrosexual"...again, fuck you.  Same pansy that came up with "WE are having a baby" must be behind this one.  I'm a guy and if I am concerned about my looks (when I go out) it's because I happen to like girls which is because I'm a heterosexual, not some made-up lame-ass word like metrosexual.

If someone tries to give me shit by calling me a Metrosexual I turn around and call them a Hermaphrodude - that usually shuts em up as everyone around then starts laughing at them instead.

WTF?  Are you reading and talking about the right thread?

Hey DTJ - I was looking at that second pic you posted and after looking at it for sometime I noticed that Dizzy and Brain were in it too - did you see that 16

I also noticed that one of the girls was having trouble keeping her nipple under wraps too.

Ok on more serious matters, was that a typo too that they called Del "Dill" -  but hey if the cap fits though...

Another point is that they call Del "GN'R Manager" was that always his official title and since when - since Merc?

Great post - Karma for that!

I agree with everything you said James all ships have sailed!  Even if he still thinks he has a ship that he can get on now it doesn't mean it won't sink!

no you have to buy the slats separately

and there are 2 side rails with horizontal legs about 3 inches wide that the boxspring can sit on and a middle rail for the middle of the bed

I've already bought the slats and have put the bed together without them and after a week everything is ok so far...just debating on whether to take them back and get my $50 back that i paid for them

I reckon you keep it.  If not I'm sure over time it will sagg on each persons side between the side rail and the middle rail - particularly if you give the bed a good workout from time to time and the weight on it is not evenly distributed during this time ;)

The new members of the band are the ones that I feel most for out of this whole saga.  They have put in a huge amount of work and effort yet they simply have to roll with the punches and hope it turns out ok sooner rather than later.

#2730 Re: The Garden » Should I or shouldnt I? » 956 weeks ago

I don't see how it could work without them?

What's under the mattress if you don't use the slats?  Wouldn't there be big gaping areas of nothing - that over time could make the mattress lumpy as it sinks down into those areas?

I thought the slats helped to evenly distribute the weight of the mattress and people more evenly and consequently make it stronger.

Although i have to say if it's a structural thing - why the fuck is it not automatically included when you buy the bed.  It's like selling a chair and then saying - do you wanna buy some legs to go with that?
