Holy. Shit. That is brilliant. Never even occurred to me about Varys. I know there's a theory Tyrion is the third head of the Dragon. Since the Blackfyres were left out of the show, there's no reason to include it. But makes perfect sense why he was chosen for that spell and why he shaves his head.
There is a solid reason to suspect Tyrion is a Targaryen. Aerys lusted after Johanna, Tywin's wife, who was a Lannister by birth. In the books, Tyrion has miscolored eyes, with one being black, but some saying a dark purple (Targaryen's have violet eyes). The Mad King was in Casterly Rock about 9 months before Tyrion's birth, so it's entirely possible. Tyrion also claims to have had dragon dreams as a child ( a Targaryen trait) and has a natural affinity for Dragons (as shown on the show, in the books the guy who tried to free the dragons got roasted for it). So there's something there to consider.
I don't think so, however. I think it's much more interesting for Tyrion to be Tywin's true son despite all his hatred and animosity. Tywin was Hand of the King to a Targaryen, and now Tyrion (on the show at least, but probably heading that direction in the books) is the Hand of the Queen to a Targaryen. I really like the idea that Cersei and Jamie are the bastards of the Mad King and Johanna. It would make Cersei's Mad King tendencies so much better and would be so much more poetic if Jamie and Tyrion both killed their fathers. But there's less evidence to support this.

Losing Ghost would be freaking heartbreaking. I know he's going to, and I left him off my list because I'm trying to will it not to happen, but the way this story has played out, it is going to be awful.
Wasn't one of the betrayals, the last one, supposedly out of love for Dany?
Also, since you've read the books, and Aegon isn't in the show, but what's his deal? Do you really think he's Jon's brother or a fake? I only ask as that seems like a pretty significant role to leave out of the show.
I'm a firm believer he's a fake. There's this huge backstory in the books about the Great Targaryen Bastards, and Daemon Blackfyre who's mother and father were both Targaryen. On his death bed, Aegon IV legitimized all of his bastards and gave the Targaryen Valyrian steel sword, Blackfyre, to Daemon. Every king since Aegon the Conquer wielded this sword, so many thought Daemon was the rightful heir. For 150 years, the Blackfyres continually tried to usurp the throne, until Barristan Selmy killed the last Blackfyre from the male line as a young knight.
Varys is in my opinion, a Blackfyre. We know how important king's blood is, and some wizard in Volantis (where the Blackfyre's retreated to after each defeat) wanted his boy parts for some magic. He also keeps his head shaved, which is something a young Aegon V did to hide his Targaryen hair.
Illyrio's hints and behavior all point to him being married to Varys' sister, who also would be a Blackfyre. He's been bankrolling Aegon while Varys setup for his return in King's Landing. I believe that "Aegon" is Illyrio's son and Vary's nephew, the last heir of the Blackfyre line. One of Dany's prophecies in the House of the Undying was to beware of the "Mummer's Dragon". Varys is quite literally a mummer, and Blackfyre's have been pretending to be Targaryen's for the better part of 150 years.
Further add in Blood Raven, aka the 3 eyed crow, aka Brynden Rivers, one of the 5 Great Bastards who lost his eye fighting against the Blackfyres and was sent to the wall after he killed the 3rd Blackfyre pretender dishonorably, and you have all the backstory necessary to make "Aegon" a fake rather than a true Targaryen.
That being said, Daemon Blackfyre was by blood as much Targaryen as anyone. So take that as you will. Rhaegar's prophecy said there would be 3 heads of the dragon. Dany is obviously one and Jon is the other. Blackfyre or not, Aegon still has Targaryen blood and may be the 3rd head of the dragon.

They're completely off the books now. Dany was promised 3 loves and 3 betrayals in the house of the undying. She's had 2 and 1 of each on the show thus far. Maybe 2/2 in the books, but prophecy is a bitch to fully grasp as you've seen with Melisandre. I guess they could expound on the Sons of the Harpy and say Hizdhar was behind them too, making him her 2nd betrayal. She's going to be betrayed once more, but I have no idea whom on the show. My best guess would be Dario, but I don't even know if he'll appear again since it seems they're done with Essos. That leaves Varys or Tyrion. Tyrion is the more tragic character, so assuming they don't ignore the prophecy, he's who I'd wager the show will do. Her 3rd love is obviously going to be Jon.
Cersei will be killed by Jamie. The show skipped this part of her prophecy in the flashback, but Maggy the Frog told her that she'd be killed by the valonqar, or little brother in High Valyrian. She's always assumed this was Tyrion, which is the basis for much of her animosity towards him, but Jame was born 2nd. And since Jamie already killed one king to stop them from burning King's Landing, it seems reasonable if Cersei tries to burn the city rather than submit to Dany, he might find himself in the same situation again.
They've done the backstory of Azor Ahai on the show, so to make the true light bringer, whomever the Prince that was promised ends up being, will need to plunge their sword into the beating hear of their spouse. Maybe that's the 3rd betrayal Dany will see. Jon will plunge his sword into her in order to make a sword powerful enough to stop the Night King.
There's a popular theory that Jamie is Azor Ahai, because it's likely he'll kill Cersei in the aforementioned scenario, and fulfill the requirement of creating light bringer.
The Last Hero, the North's version of Azor Ahai (AA is the term used by those who follow the Red God in Essos), fought the Others in the Long Night with 12 companions and a dog. How many people do we see with Jon, North of the wall in the trailer? 12. Who could be the dog? Oh yea, Ghost (or The Hound if you want to be funny). If they follow the story of the Last Hero, the 12 companions and dog will die, leaving the Last Hero alone. The original Last Hero was saved by the Children of The Forrest and created a blade that would defeat the Others. Who's uncle is still North of the Wall as an agent of the COTF? That's right, Uncle Benjen. So there's a good chance everyone who goes North of the Wall will die besides Jon.

Complete retraction. Absolutely hysterical. Lynch is going to be in front of the Senate and Bernie is under FBI investigation for fraud. Lucky no one I know of posted conspiracy theories about collusion for months. How embarrassing that would be.

So we're less than 3 weeks out.
Who is going to die this season?
My list:
1.) The Sandsnakes - anyone connected to the Dorne Betrayal. There's just no room for them in the show's story.
2.) The Mountain. Cleganebowl! get pumped. Dany's able to take King's Landing. Cersei and Jamie may live, but Cersei's zombie won't
3.) Euron Greyjoy. He's the most evil of any character introduced yet, though I don't know if the show has properly captured this. The show can't have the White Walkers and Euron in season 8, so he's got to go.
4.) Benjen Stark. Technically he's already dead, but I think he's going to go permanently this time saving Jon and his companions on their voyage north.
I'm sure a lot of others will go, especially with that ranging with Jon and the 11 others beyond the wall in the previews. But those 4 I'd put money on won't be alive at the end of the season.
My big problem with this season is that if you recall, Jeor Mormont already sent the hand of a wight to King's Landing in season 1. No one gave a shit. So why will Jon and his company bringing back part of a dead wight matter?

Supreme Court sides with Trump today and court will rule in October. But as of today the 9th and 4th circuit stays mean nothing. But the Supreme Court today modified the ban saying if you have a blood relative here or have a relationship with a company or school you will be exempt.
Seems like the right call. It's absolutely within the President's power to prevent non-citizens from entering the US. It amazed me how Partisan people could be thinking that because that President was Trump, somehow he lost that ability. If someone already had permission/visa to enter the US, the President shouldn't be able to blanketly deny entry or suspend due process for relatives assuming the law calls for special relief. This should stop the State Department from issuing future student visas or travel visas for people from these countries.
I'm just stoked they took up the baker's case from Colorado. The 1st Amendment is a thing, and private citizens shouldn't have their rights violated because they offend PC sensibilities. A government actor, like Kim Davis, is a completely different story though.
Sad they didn't take up the 2nd Amendment issue from California. Congress is looking to pass a nationwide reciprocity agreement for Concealed carry though, so these rogue actors won't be able to stop people from carrying a licensed firearm just like Ohio can't ban people from Alaska driving.

Randall Flagg wrote:His mother was Lyanna Stark. He was raised by Ned. He's just as much Stark as he is Targaryen. And unlike Sansa, Jon has blead for his country folk.
But northerners believe Rhagaer kidnapped and raped Lyanna, which, in their eyes, he'd be the product of that, including the murders of Ned's dad and brother. He'd be a pretty big threat to Dany, too.
True, but they've also declared him the King of the North and the White Wolf. He avenged the red wedding and killed the Boltons. Meanwhile as Lyanna Mormont said, is Sansa a Stark, Bolton, or Lannister? The Hound is in the North, and he was front and center when Littlefinger put his dagger to Ned's throat in the court room. The North Remembers, and after all Jon has done and his legend has grown, I don't see Sansa or Littlefinger being able to turn the North against him. Not to mention Sansa only has the nights of the Vale on her side (and how many of them recognize the threat of LF - Royce certainly does) while Jon rallied the North, the wildlings and Night's watch on his side.
And finally, Jon doesn't care about being King. He's worried about the Others. If Sansa wants winterfell, she can have it. Just help him get an Army to save the world.

The flaming sword tho!
I'm interested to see if they use Dawn, the sword Ned took after killing Arthur Dayne when Jon was born. Something is in Lyanna's tomb.
