Couldn't they just lie? I mean, if you want to enter the U.S. for nefarious purposes, you're going to do what you can to do it.

It's just like a gun ban that never gets support from the right: Why put restrictions on buying guns when criminals will find a way to get them? The only people you hurt are the innocents who want to defend themselves, the argument goes.

Same with a travel ban: Why pursue it when the really dangerous folks will find a way to get in the U.S.? The only people you hurt are the innocents who want to save themselves.

If they lie and we find them at a rally advocating Sharia Law, we kick them out.
These people have no right to be here. The majority of Americans don't want them here. I don't want them here.

I don't want my local subway only offering Halal meats because the Iranians are offended at the idea of ham. I don't want legal fights because Somali refugees want extra time off to pray during their shift.  I don't care what you believe or do behind closed doors. But don't come here and demand we change to accommodate you.  No other country does this. If I went to Iran and demanded they only serve fish on Friday, I'd be laughed at and probably killed.  These aren't my problems, these aren't your problems.

Marching out sob stories doesn't create an intelligent argument. America is less safe when you bring in people from a foreign culture directly at odds with foreign values. We just had a woman's march in this country. Yet these same people are the ones who want to bring in migrants who believe women are second class citizens. I don't care how many Americans are assholes. We can't kick them out. But we can stop people who offer no value or skill.

If you care so much, do something to fix the problem. But none of you enlisted. None of you are willing to give up anything to make the world better.

I just find this outrage completely disingenuous.

How about this. Why should we admit these people to our country?

Like all the polls you guys celebrated saying Trump was going to lose by a massive margin and Clinton would have 340+ EVs.  Do you look at the underlying methodology and questions asked or do you just look at the headlines like you do with other news you enjoy.  You're the epitome of a low information voter.

Edit:  Oh, that's right.  Gallup isn't linking their methodology to their survey.

I'm not fooled by anything.  I just don't think people coming from these countries offer much to the United States. If they have a green card, fine. But since people who have resident status from Iran normally get that by claiming asylum (since we don't have formal diplomatic relations with Iran), why the fuck are they flying back and forth to a country they allegedly needed asylum from.

If you're living in America, you shouldn't be flying back and forth to these countries. We have a right to protect our borders. I as a US citizen can't travel to Iran or North Korea with my American passport. So why should we allow people who have no right to be here the ability to travel freely between this country and their native nation.

Trump should add a loyalty tests to people wanting to enter the US. "Do you believe in freedom of speech and religion?"  "Do you believe people should be harmed if they offend the prophet Mohammed?"  Anyone who gives the wrong answer regardless of origin should be denied entry. Just like the Canadians who wanted to enter to protest in DC.

Do you not understand the distinction between Egypt, Turkey and Saudi Arabia and those other nations (that Obama identified in December 2015)?  Which nations are openly hostile to the US?  Turkey is petitioning to join the EU for fucks sakes, but sure, lump them in there with Syria or Iran.

When you scream from the mountain tops about voter fraud but several of your top cabinet picks are registered to vote in 2 states - that's hypocrisy.

And when you ban immigrants from coming to this country but don't ban the countries who provided the terrorists who committed 9/11 or the countries who have provided the terrorists who have killed the most Americans - you have to ask WTF is this really about.

Hypocrisy abound...

Comparisons to Andrew Jackson or anyone for that matter 1 week in are grossly overstated.

Being registered in 2 places isn't hypocrisy cause there's nothing illegal about that. If anything, it's evidence how bad our voting controls are. If I get a drivers license in PA, they cancel my Ohio license. Why don't we have a system like this for voter registration? But keep pretending that is remotely similar to people showing up on Election Day with a phone bill and casting a ballot.

Have you seen the list of items imported from Mexico we'll tax 20% on?  It's nowhere near what you think. It's not junk. I posted a chart a few pages back.  Basically, it's

Automobiles  80Billion
Factory machines  60B
Oil & Energy - 40B
Foods - 10B

then it goes onto things that are still important to our economy. We're depended on their imports. To say we'll raises taxes on it only hurts us as we'll buy less and pay more.  He doesn't think things out, he just does stuff then blames Obama.

No, we're not dependent. We don't need to buy the model of car made in Mexico. We don't need Mexican made factory machines. We sure as shit don't need their oil or energy. And we don't need food from Mexico.

All of these things are nice and I hope we come to an agreement. But Mexico needs us, not the other way around. That's why their currency took a hit while the DOW continued to be at a record high. But Mexico has no bargaining power and they better toe the line and help us in preventing their citizens from coming over and taking billions of our tax dollars each year.

You lost the election. Your responses was to wear pussy hats and put speakers up who talk about blowing up the White House. And the speaker who just got out of prison for murder, torture and sexual assault. Your party had the father of the Orlando shooter stand behind Clinton. You had the mother of an attempted cop killer on stage with Clinton. And you're about to appoint a racist as the head of your party. Your party is off the rails and the more you cry about some stranger in Syria and cry it's the end of the world, the less likely you'll be to ever be able to stop Trump.

There will be no liberal equivalent of the tea party because you guys are in a constant race to be the biggest victim. There is no solidarity.

Don't bother. I'll summarize it for you. Trump is Hitler. We're living under a fascist state. America will be gone in 6 months and we'll all be eating rats and dying in the streets. Everything Obama did was positive, and martial law should have been declared to keep Trump from being sworn in because someone has evidence (no one has seen it,but it exists) that Trump is being controlled by Putin and that Trump directly worked with Putin to hack the DNC.

You talk a lot about hyperbole from us lefties, but this here summary certainly has to take the cake in that department, wouldn't you agree smile?

Of course, but everything I said can be linked back to a poster on this site.  Except rats, I added that for comedic effect.

Tomorrow I'll read the last 10-15 pages and take all the Trump haters to school. 16 15
