The Mexican President is pretty impressive. Not taking any shit from Drumpf.

What is impressive?  The Peso dropped over a % while the Dollar remained steady and the Dow stayed great. The markets didn't give a shit. That should tell you what everyone knows. The US will not be weakend by this, in fact it'll be the opposite.

He's already unpopular and their economy immediately gets threatened?  He had to talk to Trump. Pride wasn't an option. Now that he's learned his place and his ministers and anyone with a brain in Mexico has taken note, Trump can give him a bone to spin success to his people.  America is the top dog. End of story. Any country that wants to continue to do well and grow will ally with our interests.  Notice how the Canadians have stayed quiet?  They know who to back. They've got just as much to lose as Mexico.

Trump's going to setup a new trade deal with the UK. Fuck waiting 2 years. What will the EU do?  Germany and France won't stop it. In fact, I  bet within 5-10 years, both of them will be joining a trade agreement with the US too.

Why include the useless countries like Greece when they can improve relations and gain better access to the US market.  The west only needs the rest of the world to trade with us. We don't need to let their people come storming into our countries if they're not bringing anything to the table. Rather than brain drain these other countries, we should let businesses invest and build them up. Have you taken notice of what China is doing in Africa?  That's what we should be doing in the Middle East and Asia, sending in businesses to build them into the 21st century and take a cut of their profits.

If we turn the rest of the world into the West, they'll want to avoid war and conflict in their homes as much as we do. A hell of a lot harder to die for Allah when you have an air conditioned home and internet access.

Hypocrisy

Why did Republicans bitch about Obama's use of EOs.  Their actual argument, not what the asshats at Salon.com had to say? It was because they were a broad overreach of his authority, like giving legal status to millions of people.  Trump is reversing EOs Obama enacted.  Your city will play ball soon enough when they lose money and the citizens demand the illegals get kicked out and Emmanuel worries about actual citizens who are paying income taxes.

We had the most obstructionist congress in history. Not a coincidence. And you need to acknowledge it.

Without pushing the false claim that the ACA was a GOP idea, can you provide more than one example of democrats trying to compromise?  How many bills did the House pass that Reid refused to let hit the Senate.

As long as you guys believe it was a one sided endeavor, you're missing out. And worse, you're encouraging Democrats to try to do that now and force the nuclear option.

Boehner fucked up once on the deal to avoid shut down. McConnel fucked up not having a vote on Garland. I'll give you that.

But ACA, and everything else done through EO was because the Democrats weren't interested in compromise. They thought they were hot shit and spent 2 years getting their own party to support Obamacare.

I'm pleased so far everyone is playing nice. But this nonsense of an obstructionist congress only works in the mind of democrats.  When you're not the majority, which they weren't since 2010, you can't call the other side obstructionist when you want to mandate your far left ideas.

"The rest of the worlds politicians are being exposed"??   The Mexican President just elevated himself massively by cancelling on Trump.  And Republicans have sided with him.  China put us down. We're definitely gonna become Russia's little brother as far as 'World Superpowers'.

Its been a tumultuous first week, very rocky.  Major Garrett was asked on CBS about the rollout of Trumps Wall agenda, and Major responded "It wasn't a rollout, it was fumbled. Trump claimed Mexico will pay for it. Then he said we'll pay for it but Mexico will pay us back. Mexico said they won't pay us back. Trump then said he'll place an import tax on it. The media asked Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell if they'll raise taxes and they confirmed No.  Lindsey Graham stated anything raising taxes on Corona and Tequila and Margarita's was a bad idea".. Trump said he'll bring torture & waterboarding back, Republicans again went against him saying that will not become true.

All this & I didn't even have to mention one Democrat, they shot themselves in the foot.

This is completely absurd.  Russia has an economy smaller than Canada's and you think they're going to make the US subservient.  Quit buying into the media matters nonsense.  How much you want to bet the President of Mexico meets with Trump in the next 2 weeks and Trump continues to say Mexico will pay for the wall.  Mexico needs the US, not the other way around.

Marco Rubio getting deported?

Yea, go with the Nazi comparisons.

Marco Rubio's parents were legally in the United States.  In Wong, SCOTUS ruled the 14th amendment gives the offspring of legal residents citizenship.  Birthright citizenship didn't happen until the 1960s with President Johnson, who just decided that's how we do it.

Please tell, in the Monarchy of the UK, if people illegally enter your country and have a child, is that child a British subject?  If I'm in the UK on a Business Visa with my American wife and she has a child, does that child become a British subject?

Trump ordered Homeland to provide weekly reports of the carnage caused by illegals. Public perception is going to change since they're no longer seeing the Valedictorian who came here when she was 4.

Build the wall. Pass e-verify. End anchor babies. Deport those who are caught breaking the law. Provide a pathway to permanent resident status (not citizenship) for those who learn English, pay a fine and stay employed. The second you want benefits, off you go.

This really is simple. Create a National Databade tied to the IRS and ICE. If my SSN is used in CA for a job and my last return was in Maine, investigate. Arrest the illegal for identity theft and immediately deport them. Catch illegals with increased patrols entering the country, put them in military camps until they can be deported. We have Active Duty units sitting in their asses for years between deployments. Put them on 3 month tours of the border using the same infrastructure we created in Iraq. Millions of acres of desert that can be used as base camps. Have an ICE officer on site to make everything legit. It's really not that hard.

So Trump is gonna tax imports to pay for the wall.

Which means we are paying for it via higher prices on goods from Mexico. Mexico is not paying for it at all.

Why am i not surprised?

If you don't believe the cost of goods go up by making the minimum wage $15 an hour, why does this?

I'm all for it. If we have to pay 20% more for avocados, maybe they'll work to grow avocados in America. You guys want a fairer wage, this is what happens.

I don't believe I've ever stated my views on a minimum wage here, and that's not the topic.

The topic is the wall that Trump said Mexico would pay for. If his campaign promise was "WE WILL BUILD THAT WALL! AND YOU WILL PAY FOR IT" do you think we'd be here. I don't.

Generic you since you're the first to bring it up. I'm all for increasing taxes and cutting government spending to pay down the debt.

No, I'm pro abortion. If you read what I've posted countless times instead of waiting your turn to reply, you'd know that.

What are you gonna do RF if you put up a wall, you destroy healthcare, belittle Liberals and punish them for their ways...and the jobs that come back to the US were the ones no one here wanted to do anyway....

What if even after all that your life still sucks?

My life doesn't suck. It's pretty damn good overall. I want to keep it that way and ensure others have the same opportunity as long as they're willing to sacrifice for it. Illegals don't get my hard earned money. I don't give a fuck about them, they can fix their problems internally. America First. Now ask for my help, and if I'm able to, I will. How much do you give to charity each month?  But this notion were under an obligation to help anyone but our own citizens is horse shit.
