That's what I thought. Axl's never been a consistent singer, and now he's getting up there. It is what it is, but I don't think stretching his chords further with tons of rehearsing is going to help it. As usual he'll improve as the shows go on.

Also, it's far less noticeable if you're actually at the gig.

You got some shows coming up
Then there's a dvd.

But people seeing him on tv can only be a good thing. If you don't follow the band this guy is a total recluse. The average Kimmel fan probably views him as some kind of Howard Hughes freak. This should help him appear more normal and familiar.

That Axl is willing to do this is also a good sign. Has he even done anything promotional like that since the 90s?

Isn't Axls style the hardest to pull off? I'm actually surprised he can still go out there and do Jungle etc. I saw Purple in the early 2000s and they didn't even have Child In Time in the set.

They weren't a singles band, but they had some huge hits. If that makes sense.
