Wikileaks has made their request for them now. Wonder if Trump will be a fan in that case?
The better question is will all of you attack the person who illegally acquired it?
No why should we? Why should be rushing to the aid of somebody who brags about not following all the rules of the rest of us have to.The real question is why do you rush to the defense of somebody who doesn't follow the rules so often?
What rules are you talking about?
I want Trump to release his tax returns, just like I wanted Clinton to release the transcripts from the millions she took from Wall Street. You cried foul when one was illegally accessed. Thank you for clarifying your outrage was entirely partisan.

Yup...doing important things like attacking abortions and meddling in people's personal lives...
Remember when you said that people on the coasts shouldn't be dictating to the rest of the country how to live?
Now that's what he's doing and I'm sure you're okay with it.
He is? I thought he just stopped foreign groups from sending money in to support abortion. I thought all of you were outraged when a foreign power influenced our democracy?

Rumor is Trump's announcing moving our embassy in Israel to Jerusalem tomorrow. Fucking stupid idea unless the goal is consolidate the radicals in one area again. Even then, it'll be a hell of a war.

Yea, I was way off on Obama in 2008. I've been using that lesson learned to tell the rest of you to knock it off on Trump. Atari supports monarchies and legislatures open only to those with noble blood. He's also been having a conversation with himself in the UK thread the past few weeks. I wouldn't point to him as an expert on anything.
You said Bush did a great job in improving Iraq, Iraqi's quality of life had been improved due to the war, that us pulling out for good with it being finished "was near", and that overall it was a good decision and a job was well done?!
None of that was true. In the end, we had no exit plan, no basis for a "new" Iraq. W & Cheney did what every Democrat knew & that is 'Leave it for the next guy to figure out & solve this mess' and Iraq was not "improved" as a result of the war. It had no overseeing government in place & left for it to figure it out. It'd be like Trump pulling out all politicians & police in Chicago & saying "We won!"
You know this how? I was there. I saw the intel briefings. Look at Iraq in 2011 compared to 2003. Look at it now. I'm not interested in debating with you something you have no experience with and rely on left wing publications that were also too craven to set foot there. You don't get to rewrite history out of ignorance and a desire to white wash Obama's atrocious foreign policy record. You Yahoos are celebrating a nuclear Iran as a fucking accomplishment.

Randall Flagg wrote:Remember McCain saying we'd treat Iraq like South Korea (which has been a smashing success),
Not the best analogy, because while we aligned with S Korea, we just left North Korea as is. W's Iraq we invaded & overthrew Iraq's government and left it a mess, with only the USA to manage it?! A perplexing ideology.
Now HW Bush's Iraq is a fair analogy, because Iraq invaded Kuwait, we joined in and kicked them the fuck out. And kept Kuwait protected, but left Iraq be.

So now Obama's Middle East policy is going to lead to more US casualties?? Wrong. It's your Middle East policy which Atari clearly debunked you on. Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Randall Flagg wrote:Not only did Obama create a vacuum that allowed ISIS to form...
This is such bullshit. Bush didn't have a handle on Iraq...Saddam did. Bush destabilized that region and turned it into a battle zone between various Muslim sects with American troops smack dab in the middle of it. It also became a battle cry for jihadist nutjobs to come and fight us.
This bolded point was my entire argument. Bush created a central battleground to flock to rather than be all over the map, which is what Obama allowed to happen.
Furthermore it was Bush who signed the Status Forces agreement before he left office, providing a timeline for withdrawal by 2011. Obama followed that timeline and pulled the troops out. The majority of Americans also wanted us out of Iraq, as our kids came home in caskets or with their limbs blown off.
Right, Bush created a timeline when we'd have the insurgents contained. Which we did in 2011. SOFA just ended major military operations. Remember McCain saying we'd treat Iraq like South Korea (which has been a smashing success), and Obama left nothing behind which allowed ISIS to form. Your boy's incompetence and total lack of connection to reality is to blame here, not Bush. Bush may have fucked up with Iraq, but he's the one who contained radical Islam. Obama is singlehandedly responsible for ISIS and its spread. Now we have President Trump, and hopefully he'll bomb these savages out of existence.
And don't pretend you give one fuck about the American soldier and their sacrifice. If so you wouldn't openly mock their values while advocating for policies and politicians that will inevitably lead to more casualties in the long term.

Smoking Guns wrote:slcpunk wrote:More bombs and drones, yet Obama is weak on terrorism? Oh, ok.
We had more terrorist attacks in our country during Obama than Bush? Ummm....911? WTF are you talking about.
Obama is not responsible for the safety of Europe.
911 KILLED A LOT OF PEOPLE.
THERE HAVE BEEN A LOT OF ATTACKS SINCE BUSH LEFT AND SINCE WE PULLED OUT OF IRAQ.
Cause and effect. You start a stupid war, the dominos fall and keep falling. The damage outlasted his presidency.
And the net benefit of Iraq was all jihadist came to fight their holy war. They weren't blowing up Europe or coordinating attacks in America because they had an army to fight. Bush consolidated the enemy in a shit hole, and kept them contained.
Not only did Obama create a vacuum that allowed ISIS to form, his foreign policy resulted in more nations being consumed by radical Islam. Bush contained it and Obama let it spread and grow. Now Russia, the brand new enemy of progressives, has swooped in to put their name on the solution. Meanwhile we allow Israel to be weakened, our sole western democracy in the region. And their armed to the teeth with nukes. So if the Hajis decide to march on Jerusalem, welcome to WW3.
The best thing to do would dispatch an American division to provide ground and air support and work in unison with Russia, The UK with Germany and other NATO forces. Hell, put an Arab in charge and provide local forces to root out and destroy ISIS. Back it up with a huge trade and energy deal for all participating countries and turn a profit bringing the ME into the 21st century.

I don't remember anything like this politically in my lifetime. A protest march to an incoming president that exceeded the size of a presidential inauguration, with sister marches all over the country and around the world.
Just an observation. We're all free to make them last I checked. No, I didn't have time to poll all of them. I'll get right on that though. A lot of women voted for Trump last I heard, but I didn't poll them either so I guess that doesn't matter either.
All these rallies are in big cities that Hilary won... Out in the rest of the country it is total opposite..
Fuck me for not wanting the guy who could start WW3 with Twitter.
If Trump starts off with infrastructure, gets the Dems on board with an amnesty plan if they support some version of a wall, tighter border security and removing birthright citizenship, and gets healthcare for all by expanding Medicaid but reducing the limits of the ACA, how can you not call him successful.
If he gets the corporate tax rate dropped and brings hundreds of billions back in taxable income from businesses coming home, and keeps union jobs from being outsourced to Mexico, how can you not call him successful.
Those aren't Republican exclusive ideas. Leveling the playing field with trade and putting Americans first isn't Republican exclusive.
If arguing that every country's first obligation is to its own citizens is now controversial, someone is living in a bubble that badly needs popped. There's billions of people on this planet who would slit your children's throats and roast your dog to have the comfort and wealth you have. We didn't make this country great through luck. Our ancestors built it through blood and sweat. We have an obligation to maintain that security and comfort.
