Frankly that's selfish and presumptuous of you. I'm a citizen too and I don't like being fed BS by the government and media. You want to believe different I'd die to defend you, but don't come here talking about rude as if you had the authority of a whole country.

To who? The suits in government?

No theories here, just questions.

That's actually my second favorite from that film. Works great with the ending.

Hugely underrated flick too.

Definitely not before new music, totally agree. It's just the way to go if he really wants to tell his side of the story.

Make it coincide with a new release would be perfect. The wild card with Beta as manager is that she might be the first to really benefit from promoting the new band instead of a reunion, and have the ability to convince him into doing it.

Moby, whatever happened to him? He did some great tunes.

#3456 Re: Guns N' Roses » RRHoF Discussion (Izzy/Slash/Axl Press Statements) » 734 weeks ago

For max effect in the press and to ensure the other guys can't make any definite plans until the eve of it. If we are to believe Slash, Myles was an 11th hour addition.

Alternatively, that's how long it took for the negotiations with the HOF to finally break down.

Would it be correct to say that all the members of the original band had both male and female appeal? That seems pretty rare and could go along way in explaining the explosive success once they had the material to ride on. The female market is huge cause it works both directly and indirectly.

Slash and Duff could probably still pull that off. Axl I can't say.

For a guy who hadn't done a video interview since 1992 the Trunk thing was a ridiculous affair. Talk about dropping the ball. The worst Axl interview ever.

Howard? Would probably be better, but I doubt he's waiting around for 6+ hours in case Axl may or may not show up. For a guy so adverse at making plans I'm surprised he even gets on stage regularly.

A book is what we need. That could potentially be a huge moneymaker for Axl too.

#3459 Re: Guns N' Roses » Hall of Fame Videos » 734 weeks ago

I think BH could be marketed if Axl had managed to fulfill the right criteria; band photos, interviews, making ofs, documentaries, albums in ex. 02, 06, 09. It would be very different, but in the end I think it would work simply because he would lend credence to a true rebirth of the band.

Wouldn't be the same appeal obviously, but the guy has charisma if you play it right. It's not as if teenboppers are the target demographic.

But all that doesn't matter to me anyway. Musically, if you like and accept his style, had the potential to be on the same level as old gnr quality wise.

Buckethead replaced him. He could also function in the role of Izzy. Biggest mistake Axl ever made was not being able to keep him around.

Whether Bumble can do that justice remains to be seen, but I doubt his songwriting ability is any place near that of either BH or Izzy. DJ is meh, I'd be surprised seeing him reach the heights of Finck.

I think we're likely to see a follow up composed mainly of the stuff made by the 2000 band. What worries me is if Axl doesn't feel the new guys are up to it we could be in for another long haul.
