Right on. Every so often I listen to Lies out of the blue and get remind how bad ass the solos are on it.
The "R" side of that album is the best 4 songs in a row ever on a GN'R album. Just amazing.

So recapping this thread....
I've been told the seeker is better than 100% of Chinese Democracy and 75% of the entire GNR back catalogue.
It's time for Axl to fulfil his destiny and take his father's place at my side.
Record "The Seeker", add it to the AFD redux album with Robin Fink playing Slash's solos...and all vocals done with no rasp....the release it simply as a self titled album: "Guns 'N Roses".
Do it and your journey to the dark side of the force will be complete.
Monkey, you're starting to lose your optimism... and tolerance

Slash Says Scott Weiland Has Been Fired From Stone Temple Pilots

Scott Weiland has been making plenty of overtures that the timing is right for Velvet Revolver to put past issues aside and reunite, but Slash says there’s another motivation behind Weiland’s comments.
The guitarist tells Minneapolis/St. Paul’s 93X (heard in the player below), “That’s because he got fired from STP.” Troubles started to reach their height in Velvet Revolver when Weiland began to test the waters on a Stone Temple Pilots reunion a few years back and though tensions have ceased somewhat with Velvet Revolver in the time since his exit, it doesn’t appear that the other members are ready to reunite with Weiland anytime soon.
Slash says that Weiland’s comments concerning Velvet Revolver tend to take him by surprise, but he did a little inquiring and learned about the Stone Temple Pilots situation. He explained, “I think all things considered, because these things always catch me by surprise too cause I always find out about it through the media and I’m on the road in another country and I start hearing all this stuff and then I inquire within, and that’s what I was told.”
Velvet Revolver have tested out numerous singers since Weiland’s exit but have yet to settle on a replacement. In the interim, Slash’s solo career has taken off and his latest disc, ‘Apocalyptic Love,’ is getting a deluxe edition offering.
“It’s got the two bonus tracks and it’s funny because when we did the original record I wanted those tracks to be on there, but it was just too many songs on the record,” says Slash. “So every time I record too much material I find someway of getting it released later and so here it is.” In addition to the two bonus cuts, the deluxe package will come with the Guitar Center Sessions acoustic set and a DVD of the band’s New York show at Irving Plaza.
Slash also says he’s very happy with his working relationship with Myles Kennedy as singer for his solo band. “I don’t compare anybody,” says Slash. “Artists, singers, musicians — very rarely are they similar to anyone else. But the one thing about Myles is he’s very — we have a lot of similarities between the two of us because we’re both guitar players. He’s a brilliant guitar player and then on top of that he’s a brilliant singer, but his personality is very laid back and he’s a very hard worker, very conscientious and he’s got a great work ethic and he’s an unbelievable singer. He just never ceases to amaze me.”
To hear more of 93X’s interview with Slash, including talk on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction and his upcoming horror movie plans, check out the player below. The conversation about STP and Weiland starts at around the 5-minute mark.

Standing In The Sun. They mention it in the article.
"the tech firm has now teamed up with Slash again to take its tech to Facebook for his band’s single Standing in the Sun, from Apocalyptic Love."

They played TWAT. That's good. The rest is the usual Cash N' Grab.

Guitar hero: Slash taps 360-degree video tech to broadcast a single from his latest album on Facebook
http://thenextweb.com/apps/2012/12/05/g … -facebook/
Mativision has already helped power a slew of top music artists’ first tentative steps into the 360-degree video realm, including Muse, Professor Green, Pendulum, Steve Vai, Seasick Steve, Anthrax and Slash.
While the aforementioned endeavors saw the launch of native mobile apps, the tech firm has now teamed up with Slash again to take its tech to Facebook for his band’s single Standing in the Sun, from Apocalyptic Love.
With Slash 360, the former Guns ‘n Roses axe man is taking the key concept behind his iOS app, launched back in July, and deploying it on Facebook, letting fans control the view they have of the band using on-screen controls. Users can switch between different vantage points (cameras) and multiple synchronised camera views, whilst also rotating and zooming in and out.
Mativision uses a series of special 360-degree cameras to film and broadcast live music performances, using the Web-based Mativision player, and iOS apps. Indeed, the company is now laying claim to the worlds first fully Facebook integrated 360-degree video platform.
“I think the 360 application definitely takes the listener into the world of the musician so that you can actually be in the room where the artist is recording, or in a live situation where you can be all around the stage and behind the stage,” says Slash. “And it just gives it a lot more depth and it really sort of puts you in the world of what the artist is doing.”
The existing Slash 360 iOS app was included in iTunes’ Top Grossing App Chart in 14 countries worldwide in the wake of its launch this summer.
“We are very proud to be working with Slash for this Facebook App, bringing fans a true Mativision 360 video experience,” says Anthony E. Karydis, CEO of Mativision. “The fact people don’t even need to leave Facebook to use our app is going to have a big impact for us. It is perfectly optimized for social sharing and spreading the word about Mativision.”
The Slash 360 app is available on Facebook now.

And I hate talking to sober people when I'm drunk.
Do you mean Axl was drunk? Or that the Axl camp is lying?
In October of 2005 Slash made an unannounced 5:30 AM visit to Axl Rose’s house. Not appearing to be under the influence, Slash came to inform Axl that: (...)

Face it: Axl is a whiny bitch and a proven manipulator. Is he crazy enough to believe his own lies? Quite possibly.

Prediction...
No album. No new songs played.
You're risking too much, mate.

They'll be touring with shorter or longer breaks, until late August or September. Then a break till the end of the year. DJ bullshitting about writing for Axl, but no further process. Bumblefoot venting mid-year. Tommy working with Westerberg.
