ATHENS: The Greek government was plunged into chaos on Tuesday and faced an imminent collapse, as lawmakers rebelled against Prime Minister George Papandreou's surprise call for a popular referendum on a new debt deal with Greece's foreign lenders.
Such a collapse would not only render the referendum plan moot, it would likely scuttle-or at least delay-the debt deal that was agreed on in Brussels last week, putting Greece on a fast track to default and possible exit from the monetary union of countries sharing the euro currency. Analysts said that Papandreou's call for a referendum was a last resort, meant to gain broader political support for the unpopular austerity measures in the deal without forcing early elections that would only worsen the country's political and economic turmoil.
Papandreou's announcement of a referendum took Greek lawmakers by surprise, just a s it did political leaders and investors across Europe. On Tuesday, the state television channel Net reported that even the finance minister, Evangelos Venizelos, had not been informed in advance about the referendum, although he was aware of plans for a confidence vote. Venizelos was taken to a hospital Tuesday morning, complaining of stomach pain. Doctors said he had an inflamed appendix. He is the latest in a string of governing party officials to be rushed to hospitals in recent weeks. One Greek negotiator had a heart attack in Brussels last week.

6.55pm Although there is no suggstion that it is related to today's developments, the timing is unusual, to say the least - but this evening the defence minister replaced the military top brass.
In a surprise move, on Tuesday evening the defence minister replaced the country’s top brass.
An extraordinary meeting of the Government Council of Foreign Affairs and Defence (Kysea), which comprises the prime minister and other key cabinet members, accepted Defence Minister Panos Beglitis' proposal that the following changes be made to army, navy and air force and the general staff:
* General Ioannis Giagkos, chief of the Greek National Defence General Staff, to be replaced by Lieutenant General Michalis Kostarakos
* Lieutenant General Fragkos Fragkoulis, chief of the Greek Army General Staff, to be replaced by lieutenant general Konstantinos Zazias
* Lieutenant General Vasilios Klokozas, chief of the Greek Air Force, to be replaced by air marshal Antonis Tsantirakis
* Vice-Admiral Dimitrios Elefsiniotis, chief of the Greek Navy General Staff, to be replaced by Rear-Admiral Kosmas Christidis
It is understood that the personnel changes took many members of the government and of the armed forces by surprise.

That headline should land me a job at the Times.

No, they've played it at least once before in Florida.

When Roger played my town he came into my aunts hair dresser saloon and asked if he could borrow a shower!
But he's still drawing huge crowds so I really don't know what that was about. Not like he can't be accommodated. Maybe he was just fucking around. It was a really weird experience, having Waters walk around in your saloon in an apron then he goes off to perform to 20.000 people.

I agree he's way up there in terms of exposure, maybe even the most known at the moment.
That being said, if he is, what were you trying to say?

You already have world government, and it's not free. WWII was the last real uprising. Since then they've just been "reeducating" the newer provinces like Iraq and Libya, and neutering others like Russia and the United States.
All these wars and depressions are just vehicles to formalize what's already a de facto one world police state run by banker royalty.

New street lights that include “Homeland Security” applications including speaker systems, motion sensors and video surveillance are now being rolled out with the aid of government funding.
The Intellistreets system comprises of a wireless digital infrastructure that allows street lights to be controlled remotely by means of a ubiquitous wi-fi link and a miniature computer housed inside each street light, allowing for “security, energy management, data harvesting and digital media,” according to the Illuminating Concepts website.
According to the company’s You Tube video of the concept, the primary capabilities of the devices include “energy conservation, homeland security, public safety, traffic control, advertising, video surveillance.”
In terms of Homeland Security applications, each of the light poles contains a speaker system that can be used to broadcast emergency alerts, as well as a display that transmits “security levels” (presumably a similar system to the DHS’ much maligned color-coded terror alert designation), in addition to showing instructions by way of its LED video screen.
The lights also include proximity sensors that can record both pedestrian and road traffic. The video display and speaker system will also be used to transmit Minority Report-style advertising, as well as Amber Alerts and other “civic announcements”.
With the aid of grant money from the federal government, the company is about to launch the first concept installation of the system in the city of Farmington Hills, Michigan.

For me there are basically 3 bands active today I'm anticipating new material from. Gn'R is one of them. Any move that could mean that gets closer to happening is all good you ask me. It's a bumpy ride with this band for sure, but whatever, Axl is what he is.
You're not supposed to pretend anything. I don't see anyone holding any guns to our heads. But there's no need for it to go on page after page either. Axlin isn't much better by the way. He wanted a long discussion and he got it.
Everybody just chill a little. Bussaw does have a point too that people have been steam rolling over some of his posts, not really bothering to read what he actually says.

Do people under 15 even know what a guitar is these days?
Fact is most people getting into real music will discover Keith and Page long before Slash.

The difference is do you want to spend your very short life time in this infinite Universe standing on your feet? Or on your knees, sucking banker cock?
If people weren't so easy to sell out what they know is right for instant pleasure there wouldn't be any system to corrupt. Granted that's probably not going to change, but I'm still not going down with a bad conscience just because everybody else is. I'm a free man in a free state. Soon I'll be as dead as I've been for a billion years or some kind of new life begins. Either way I'm holding all the cards.
Unless God is a socialist.

Come on man, just admit it. You want them to fuck up so you can stick it to him. You like that game.
