I don't consider contract players to be in the band. I believe legally I am quite correct in my assessment.
Well, you're not an American then.

They do mean this year, right?
#3687 Re: The Sunset Strip » Steve Perry breaks silence » 759 weeks ago
Saw nu-Journey this summer. Don't really know any of their music except for you know what, but what I heard there didn't impress me much. The band and the new singer were pretty good, but to me it sounded like alright but terribly overrated 80s pop.
#3688 Re: The Sunset Strip » New Madonna single to feature M.I.A and Nikki Minaj » 759 weeks ago
Madonna is no Aretha Franklin or even Tina Turner. She was the first artist to build her career mainly on sex appeal. For a 53 year old woman that is starting to push credibility. The media can't say it outright so we get this slow adjustment to the fact that she is now an old hag. Nothing wrong with being old, but you can't go around acting like you're Jennifer Lopez anymore. Hell, even she can't do that these days.
A terrible personality doesn't help it either. I bet certain people in the media can't wait to get a reason to trash her.

Apparently a 1 hour interview with Axl and DJ will air November 11th.
Shame we gotta wait that long.
Yay, my birthday.
#3690 Re: Guns N' Roses » Sammy Hagar wants to manage a GNR reunion » 759 weeks ago
Like he said they'll never do it for the money. If they reunite it'll because they want to give it a go for real. I think they've all made it clear it isn't about the money. What I disgaree with is Hagar's opinion that they could be the biggest band in the world again. Would never happen, could never happen.
It could never happen in the past, but the days of huge cross appeal bands are pretty much over, and Gn'R is one of the biggest and last of that era. They could easily be up there with Metallica and maybe U2. Apart from them, who is there?
