I'm not even mad. It's just funny at this point. Pond scum, I actually like that. It shows we are living rent free in their heads. Imagine being this rich and successful and you still get worked up over some bullshit. If he's not giving us an album just to spite us that is in fact hilarious.
The funniest part is perhaps that we are the only ones who care about new music. The casual fans in the stadiums have no desire to hear new material, they want the classics. The music biz certainly doesn't care anymore. Only the pond scum do.

Destruction is the purpose. So they can build back better.

I hear the property of the rich is left mostly undamaged, so there is that. Will be a right boon for them now to start buying up all that good land.

This song never really popped for me. Just not a good enough tune I think. The structure doesn't appear to have changed for the better in any significant way either. Both Hard School and Absurd had something new going on. This sounds more like a straight rerecording.

They're doing that eucalyptus shit in Greece too. California is also big in that.
Still, a city should not burn down by accident in this day and age.

Don't they have fire departements in Maui? That shouldn't be possible for a town to burn down like that.

She was a big spokesperson about bringing awareness to sexuality into mainstream
That's...one way to put it.

Vogue is peak Madonna. That video stands as a symbol to that whole era. It is energetic, vibrant, bursting with creative power.
When I was a kid there were three artists I was aware of. Michael Jackson, Madonna and Guns N' Roses. They were all peaking in this period, and a few years later they are all gone, leaving a gigantic vacuum that never gets filled. The optimism of the 80s gets exchanged for "God is dead" and "Rock is dead".
#369 Re: Guns N' Roses » If GNR releases nothing in 2023, is this the end for you? » 145 weeks ago
With GN'R the attitude towards business is still "I found a million dollars that someone forgot". As long as the big bucks keep rolling in there is no incentive to take any interest in the finer points. Essentially nothing has changed since the days they were nipping c-notes from the purses of their street girl groupies. Just look how Izzy still refers to them taking money from fans as "loot". It was always a hustle with them. The only guy with any vision at all was Axl Rose, and he stopped caring 20 years ago.
In any other business the competition would soon run you off the block, but this is more like being in the drug business. The fiends will chase that shit no matter what. The band knows this better than anyone.

Not buying it. They released barely 50 songs in their entire career. No way they got 25 extra tunes laying around. The intention with UYI was to release everything they had, new and old, except for some inferior b sides.
Interesting that Izzy would say that, but I'm putting no weight on it being true.
