been looking to check out some zakk wylde, considering his links/flirtation with Guns. i already have some of his Ozzy work but am looking to get into his solo stuff just to investigate what the craic is.
but i dunno what BLS record is meant to be their best or most accessible...
and what about the Pride & Glory, should i try tracking it down?

The track list was shifted and revised just prior to release. Truth be told, the album as intended was:

1. Chinese Democracy
2. Riad
3. Shackler's Revenge
4. Stardust
5. If The World
6. Better
7. This I Love
8. There Was A Time
9. The Lies They Tell
10. Sorry
11. I.R.S.
12. Madagascar
13. Prostitute

*Catcher In The Rye was not going to be included.

Thanks for posting this, and I totally missed it 2 days ago when you first posted it.

That's an interesting track sequence. Not entirely different obviously, but its front loaded with the album's rockers, and This I Love is in an awkward position between Better and TWAT. Shackler's is already a flow killer, and placing Street of Dreams after it emphasizes that even more.

hey, first time poster (long time lurker). i agree it is an interesting running order and that it is front loaded with the rockers.
but so is appetite & the official CD (though Better/Stardust aren't exactly Riadh/Scraped they're still compact pop/rock songs as opposed to the expansive Sorry/Maddy/etc).
i think it helps the pacing of the album to get as many of the rockers thrown at us at the start (the first 4/5 of Appetite is the amongst the most attention smashing runs in any album).

i'm looking forward to burning a copy of this tracklist later.
i think the 1-2 of TIL/TWAT is an hilarious proposition. in fact, i think the way the songs are grouped read like they could tell the story of CD more coherantly - especially The Lies They Tell backed by Sorry (throu to the end of the album). excited to listen to it.

i was initially disappointed when i saw Catcher on the tracklist when it was first announced and would subscribe slightly to Neemo's theory about it being an album of leaks. saying that, i like the song much more now than it's leak.
interesting also that Prostitute was always to close.
