Keep more radical Muslims from entering the US.
No one's disagreeing with that, all I'm saying is that you don't lump the bad in with the good. You don't trample people's rights because some of them happen to believe in the same holy book as a bunch of murderous idiots who happen to interpret said book a bit too literally.
I don't know any Christian terrorists and the lone wolf abortion clinics does not count as that.
You must not be looking very hard... what about Hutaree, Army of God or SCA? Of course there are radical Christian terrorist groups (KKK anyone?), just like there are for instance radical vegetarian terrorist groups like the ALF, just like about any other religious or political group of likeminded people runs the risk of a small group of radicals misrepresenting them. That's no reason to villainize entire communities...

Trump is a clown, but the radical Muslim stuff is out of control
Yes, the radical muslim stuff is out of control, but so is the radical Christian stuff in the US, or the radical right wing stuff in the Netherlands, or the radical left wing stuff in France, ... The recurring theme here is 'radical', not a particular version of a particular god those radicals happen to believe in, nor even their political ideologies.
Limiting people's freedoms based on their religion, ethnicity, political convictions, ... is deplorable no matter what the perceived urgency might be. Once you go there, you've collectively lost as a nation. Worse, you haven't just lost, you've given up. They've won by making you give up on your own ideals.

When I go out to eat with my wife (or anybody really) phone stays in the car.
My dirty mind read the first part of that sentence wrong... not sure what that says about me...

It always baffles me why some people say that they don't like Myles and these always seem to be the same people who worship Chris Cornell. I think they're two similar styles of front-men so I can never understand why one is held in such high regard over the other.
I don't disagree, the two are very similar vocalists, but Miles often cross the line into a nasal and grating kinda vocal sound when he pushes himself. Cornell tends to get more gritty and hoarse/breathy sounding, which by mostly people will be perceived as much more pleasing.
Having said that, I fully agree that Miles receives more flack than he deserves and is actually a very talented vocalist.

I don't think Fall to Pieces is as good as Don't Cry or Slither as good as You Could Be Mine. Those aren't even my favorite UYI tracks.
I'd also take Wicked Garden, Plush from Core over Fall to Pieces.
Our personal tastes do indeed differ, but my point was that I at least have anecdotal evidence that some casual listeners are just as happy listening to those CB tracks than anything on UYI. Given the fact that you said this:
I honestly don't think you'd find a response outside a Guns or VR forum that'd suggest that any of the material of Contraband is comparable to any of the Appetite or UYI era material.
Which I don't think is true, based on what I've seen around me. Of course, that's no where near a statistically accurate sample, but it's still better than 'no response'.

Slither and Fall To Pieces are on par with any of the songs on the UYI's, and I think you'll find a lot of objective/casual music fans that agree with that. I've seen both songs in many an mp3 playlist alongside the classic guns stuff even with non hardcore fans.

.44 Caliber horticulture was my first gnr forum back in 97-98
I remember that (although I never registered there)! It was part of the GNR 'web ring' back then... Takes me back, the internet used to be an entirely different place...

I'm sticking with Linda Perry as the ideal vocalist for VR post-weiland, killer voice and excellent songwriting capabilities (but Chester, Corey, etc... all would've been more than good enough to keep the band going and inject some fresh ideas)

I wonder if this will bankrupt them...a lot of vehicles are being recalled...plus fines in the USA and Canada. ..I wonder if other countries tries will fine them as well
I also heard that other car companies will be evaluated as well
They are the largest passenger car manufacturer in the world, and the biggest employer in the German state (or is it province?) of Lower Saxony. Just like how the US bailed out Detroit a couple of years ago, there is no way that Germany will let VW/VAG go bankrupt. Also, consider that they have more than 1 billion US in positive free cashflow every year, and have already set aside 6 billion US for the initial cost of recalls and fines. They'll come out of this relatively unscathed I think, all things considered.
Having said that, countries all over Europe have already started (or stated they will start) investigations, I'm pretty sure they'll be facing fines in Europe as well.
