Varys is a villain in the books with a very different agenda, just like Littlefinger. However show Varys seems to show up more for comic relieve and stupid scenes with Tyrion. They departed massively from his book character after the earlier seasons... Varys big play is so drasticilly different that I'm not even going to type it out.

I disagree that Varys is a villain.  Littlefinger seems to thrive on chaos and no one knows his end game, but Varys is more than likely a Blackfyre, as is Aegon.  As Deamon Blackfyre was the bastard child of two Targaryens and was given the Targaryen Valyrian Steel sword, Blackfyre, by King Aegon the 5th before he was legitimized, the Blackfyre's have just as much of a claim to the throne as Danerys, Jon or Stannis.

Furthermore, Varys told the Mad King not to trust Tywin and that Rhaegar was attempting to create a great council to overthrow Aerys.  Not the kind of behavior you'd expect from someone who was working against the Crown.

That's what happens when you rely on Fox news. Complete fucking bullshit.

...And this is not a referendum on Islam, go debate that in the gun thread.

So none of those things I mentioned happened?  You're right.  It's a referendum on the UK staying in the EU.  My position was and is, if the EU wants to exist, it should be treated as its own country. Why should a country that has 5 or 6 people in it have the same vote and stature as one who has 330 million?

I'm an American, so I have no dog in the fight.  I just would hate to see one of the oldest and most important nations in the history of the world give up its autonomy and be required to adopt policies that will hurt the UK in the long run, just so some guy from Poland can escape eastern Europe and get better social welfare.

Right, because we should change our culture to make it more welcoming to people who think women who are raped should be punished for enticing men, homosexuality results in death, and anyone who defames the prophet must butchered.  Here's a fucking protip, America has done a better job than any other country in the world at creating a common culture and society from the most diverse group of people.  That a bunch of morons who live in the 12th century want all the convenience of 21st century living in the wealthiest country in the world, but without giving up their 7th century beliefs, doesn't mean America has failed.  It means a bunch of bleeding heart dipshits in Washington are so comfortable and removed from the brutality of the world, they can openly invite mass murdered to our country under the guise of compassion.  Then when one of these nut jobs detonates a bomb or shoots up a place, we blame everything but the simplistic, kindergarten ideology that says "All are welcome, regardless of what you can bring to the table or if you value our laws and customs."

And before some mouth breather rolls out the nonsensical Statue of Liberty quote, remember it's a fucking gift from France and has no legal bearing on our immigration laws.  It was also installed when the worst America was getting were hungry Irishmen who just wanted an opportunity to find work and make a life for themselves.  The Irish weren't trying to change America and get in on social assistance, nor did they threaten to kill anyone who make a snarky remark about St Patrick.

You're Haji comment is ridiculous. Stay out off this thread.

They're haven't been hundreds of thousands of muslim migrants entering Europe over the past couple years?  Sweden's not considered the rape capital of Europe because young, Muslim men are attacking women?  Bands of Muslim immigrants aren't roaming the streets of Britain in certain areas, trying to enforce Sharia?  Germany didn't suffer unprecedented sexual assaults enacted by young, Muslim immigrants?

You  can bury your head in the sand and pretend the one Muslim guy you talked to in Political Science 101 was indicative of something, but the reality is the majority of Muslims in the world hold beliefs that are in complete contradiction with western values.  If you too feel that the prophet shouldn't be depicted in any manner, and those who violate this should be punished, you're not compatible with western values either.  This isn't some fringe elements.  Lookup the statistics in any western nation.  In nearly every Muslim nation, homosexuality is punished by death and these people are coming to the West with no interest in adapting to OUR culture and way of thought.  So maybe rather than bitch about some photographer who doesn't want to take photos of a lesbian wedding, maybe you should cut the PC ignorance and admit there is a major cultural problem coming from Islamic nations.

if the UK desires to remain in the EU, that's fine.  But they should go all the way in giving up their autonomy.  The UN should no longer recognize independent countries that enroll in the EU, no more than states in the US get recognized as autonomous entities.  The EU will never reach parity with America, because while they're going bonkers letting every Haji under 40 enroll in middle school, they still very much want to hang on to their identities and languages.  How the hell are you ever going to have a European military when 30 different languages are spoken in the continent.

I hope the UK leaves and forces the rest of the EU to buckle and reform under rules that actually make sense, but I guess we'll see what happens in a few weeks.

That's not how classification works. There's not some suit who looks at information and then decides its classification.  If information originates from a secret or top secret system/contact, it is de facto classified at that level. Additionally, adding numerous details from an unclassified source can make something classified. I can tell you I'm deploying to Afganistan, and be ok. But if I tell you when and where I'm going to Afghanistan, I just made that email classified.

This is level 101 shit everyone in the government has to learn before they can even apply for a clearance. To claim that Clinton was unaware of this is akin to arguing Obama was unaware he was in charge of the military when he assumed the military. It's everyday common knowledge for those involved with it.

So the claim that "it didn't have classified markings at the time" is meaningless. It's a diversion tactic that has no relevance to the discussion and was only introduced because most people are completely ignorant as to how classified information is handled.

Oh, please. The ONLY classified information they could find was that she received an email that stated she needed to make a condolence call over the death of a foreign leader.  There was never a law against using a personal server. No laws were broken.  Colin Powell, Rice and Dick Cheney, and literally thousands of government cabinet workers have used personal emails with classified information, so until you right wingers start demanding retroactive prosecution for them, shut up already. Right Wingers are blowing $13,000 per day in tax dollars in order to investigate her. They have spent over $200 million investigating her since 1999. Good job. Money well spent.

You can't just dismiss it. Your opinion of what is "classified" is irrelevant. It's a pretty objective standard.

You guys want to talk about false equivalence. Email was in its infancy when Powell was secretary. By his own admission he had a Juno account and only sent a few hundred, if that, while in office. He wasn't communicating drone information his aide downloaded from a Secret computer and emailed to an unclassified address. I have never read anything on Cheney, but keeping the comparison equivalent, did Cheney setup a private network that all correspondence went to and were only through court order provided in paper form.  No validation that the American public received full disclosure under the FOIA.

So no, it's not the same. And since I personally oversaw heavy fines and military punishment for Americans who did something as simple as hooking up their personal computer to a government, unclassified network, yea I think I'm more qualified to speak on this than you or some blogger from MotherJones.

The primary use by pressure cookers 99.9% of the time is to cook food. While the primary use of a gun is to kill people. Although that's completely irrelevant since....

I'm really tired of the dishonest argument too. One side says more regulation is needed, and the right side of the aisle asks why they want to ban all guns. Are you incapable of reading English?

What regulation(s) are you proposing?

The media won't let the mass murder of gays go unexploited, but the shooter is Arab and a Muslim, so they have to be careful.

So brace yourself for a lot of hyperbole on how dangerous America is for homosexuals and why we need to ban guns yesterday.  All references to the shooter will be "Asian American".

People call Trump racist and bigoted because that's exactly what he is.

I'm not ever going to support violence against the ones who choose to support him, but let's call a spade a spade.

The man's biggest selling point is building a giant wall to keep Mexicans out.

Honestly rather shocked to see appreciation of his deeds on here.

Bullshit.  Coulter had an amazing article this week that shows what a double standard the left has on this shit.  Sotomayor stated that a "wise Latina" would bring a different perspective and ultimately come to a "better" conclusion than a white male.  We've been told for years that an all white jury is somehow indicative of racism, because a colored juror would somehow be more adept at finding justice.  The media has been saying for a year now that Trump will alienate all Hispanics with his comments.

Yet when Trump calls out a Hispanic judge that belongs to a group called "The Race" and supports illegal immigrants, and says that his personal prejudices might make him a poor judge for this case, Trump's the racist.  The judge belongs to a group called "The Race."  Think about that.  If a white politician belonged to a group called "The Race", your fucking head would explode.

Illegal immigrants have no claim to this country.  I'm 4th generation American, I don't know a word of German and you'll never see me waiving a German flag.  It's not racist to be opposed to bringing over millions of unskilled, 3rd world peasants who don't speak our language or value our culture.  It has nothing to do with their skin.  If France tunneled across the Atlantic into Jersey and millions of unskilled Frenchmen broke into our country, I'd say the same thing.

Your other points are bullshit too.  Trump supports universal healthcare!  Shocker I know, but attacking him on this will get you no where.  The handwaiving and excuses given for Clinton border on insanity.  Here is a woman who has campaigned for Goldwater (the only Republican who didn't support the Civil Rights Act) and now tries to run to the left of Obama.  She's willing to say and do anything for power.  She portrays her supporters as perpetual victims, despite factual evidence that shows her claims are bullshit.  She runs against (just like Obama) all the transparency and simplicity that the hard left adamantly demands.  Every foreign policy she's stuck her fingers in has been fucked, yet her apologist wave their hand and point the blame elsewhere.

Calling Trump a racist/bigot/idiot/whatever negative term you can throw, is simply a diversion from having to explain why Clinton is better suited to take care of Americans and do what is best for OUR country.  Trump is a birther and I'll forever loathe him for that stupidity.  But there's nothing Hillary Clinton won't do, including jeopardizing the safety and well-being of Americans, to attain power and hide from her mistakes.  If that's the kind of person you want leading America, at least be honest and admit all the freedom and transparency you claim to desire is all a cover for installing someone who will continue Obama's tyrant like use of executive power in order to rally the dregs of society.  Obama ordered the assassination of an American citizen who posed no immediate threat or danger to the US.  Yet when some clown gets shot for trying to kill a cop, Obama, Hillary and Sanders exploit it to rally the truly ignorant and dangerous in order to get people to give them more power.  If you don't see the very real threat this line of thought poses to America's freedom and longevity, I don't know what I can say to sway you.
