Hi everyone.

Universal revealed to me yesterday in confidence that The General will be released first in streaming on December 1st, while it will see the light on vinyl on the 8th as confirmed.

When I asked if the song in question contained a hidden track within it, they told me they didn't know anything about it, and that this kind of information reaches those in charge of radio promos more or less at the last minute.

They gave me the same answer for the length of the song.

p.s.: you don't know me directly but I'm sure that with a little effort you could understand who I am.

Listening to the cellphone clip again, now that I know what I am listening to and can hear the lyrics, it is a shame we never got to hear that version.

This version is fine but as much as Slash's contributions sound fine, the song clearly was not originally going for a blues rock guitar sound as part of it and what can be heard on that cellphone clip sounds much better.

I agee with you, its IMO by far the worst GNR song ever made. If you listen to the instrumentals underneath you will hate it even more bc like I said even the guitar parts and cut and pasted together.

Get In The Ring is far and away the most embarrassing GNR song to date….awful in every way
