I was a HUGE Sabbath fan as a kid and was friggin shocked to find out It's Alright was a Sabbath cover. I don't know how I hadn't gotten as far as Technical Ecstasy by that point.

I voted for Prostitute. Best song off CD in my opinion and I don't think I've ever seen Slasherr's video of it.
Totally undervalued song post-release. Pre-release it was THE SHIT as far as the boards were concerned. Weird situation there.

So I picked Estranged 2011 for two reasons. First, I suggested Night Train and felt funny casting a vote for my own thang the very first week. (Next week all bets are off though ). And second, because it's current lineup, and I felt a little guilty when I realized that every performance I've thought of nominating so far has been from a past lineup.
Plus.... Estranged!

Does anyone know any history behind the song? It sounds like the Jackson 5 could have sung it.
I just got done reading Reckless Road, and there's not much mention of it other than the band using it to vet potential producers. But it's such a strange song for them- it's got a REALLY cheesy keyboard sound that they've never used anywhere else, and the fact that it's a fleshed out keyboard song at all is weird at that point in their career.
Not much info from a few quick Googles either.

I figured I'd get my feet wet with a shortened poll to work out any kinks. The winner becomes song of the week this Friday.
Russ- let me know if these are better off in Management or whatever you prefer.
Here's what I've got for this week. PM me more suggestions, and I'll add them to the list for next week. Also, include a link to it on youtube. If it's on your page, let me know- otherwise I'll tend to check our good buddy Gibbo's page first.

I actually like the show too. I'm thinking it can't go on forever with there just being one "leader" though. They really ought to kill him off at some point, and then have to figure out who's calling the shots. OR, maybe the current leader is a red herring, and there's someone bigger pulling the strings.
Finally, if they make it a few seasons, I call Kevin Bacon turning heel (that's for you, Axlin 
) and taking over the cult. Loooooooong shot, but if it happens, I called it.
