Beggars Banquet and Goats Head Soup by the Rolling Stones. Pure rock n' roll gems.

#4162 Re: Guns N' Roses » Happy CD Day » 911 weeks ago

Haven't listened to it in headphones yet. Should be great. A lot of cool stuff going on.

#4163 Re: The Garden » zeitgeist » 911 weeks ago

Lol, I've seen it many times of course. Is this the first one? There's a second one out called addendum which is also great.

Best part of the films are the Federal Reserve since as opposed to the religion and 9/11 stuff it is so cut and dry, and fucking sinister.

Scraped is loved by many, including me. Of course it's not filler. I don't like Bad Obsession, doesn't mean it's filler. I think you need a pretty big consensus for anything to be labeled that. Then again I like My World, so I guess the argument is fundamentally moot.

Big Brother is security. It's always about security. For the nation, for the people, for you. Allowing you to use the internet outside of duty, or on duty, doesn't serve the military any purpose either. It's just life. We're not robots. I assume you are allowed to visit the 'safe' sites, so it's not about purpose or money, not really.

You know how it's going down. Australia just implemented nation wide "security" filters. So if you want a connection you are only allowed to visit sites the government don't deem "dangerous". You kidding me?

That's why we have virus protection. There's no need for blocking out stuff on suspicion. Everybody knows where you get this shit, on all those "free" sites promising the world. Only reason I got one was because I was drunk and fucking horny. 16

Btw, my current provider doesn't give a shit, so it's obviously not a big deal to them. Just some of the companies out to scam an extra buck from people, and the government looking to restrict your use of the only free medium we have. Excuse me if I smell a rat. Not saying this incident wasn't valid, I'm just noticing a trend.

The cyber attack so alarmed the Pentagon that it took the unprecedented step of banning the use of external hardware devices, such as flash drives and recordable CDs and DVDs.

Events, imaginary or not, Big Brother here we come.

I got my connection cut once because I had a virus on my comp. Still had to pay of course. This is only the beginning. A new internet system is being implemented, one that will drastically increase authorities ability to censor and block. To quote the hackers: We know what the government is doing. We just want them to know we got an army of hackers ready to unleash the worst viruses possible into your systems when you attempt to come down on us.

I wouldn't rule out something like that in all those undisclosed attempts.

#4167 Re: Guns N' Roses » So where exactly is Axl Rose? » 912 weeks ago

I don't know why so many of us missed it in the first place either. We've been out, myself included, attempting to conceive the silence as a marketing trick.

Clearly we forgot that the man is usually very talkative when he's happy and in the process of doing something.

Theory off the bat: The album is being forced. Axl throws all the leaks on, either because they are collectively the best songs (even though he'd wanted to flesh them out on more albums), or he does it to limit the damage. Get this over with, get out of the contract and do some shit more independently later on. Maybe give us the album where If The World, Scraped and Shackler came from.

I could actually picture Axl trying to bomb the release just to spite the label if they forced him. Just think about the things he's done in the past when he feels stepped on. Jumping out of cars, canceling gigs, inciting riots, possibly spousal abuse, throwing tantrums at teenage girls for not wanting to fuck him, breaking a bottle over his neighbors head etc.

And that is just the shit we know about.

#4168 Re: Guns N' Roses » So where exactly is Axl Rose? » 912 weeks ago

The way he was out talking in 06 when he genuinely seemed to want to release is telling. Same in 00 and 02, out doing interviews and shows thinking he was releasing it.

Now nothing. He's definitely on about something.

#4169 Re: Guns N' Roses » Guns N' Roses update official site » 912 weeks ago

Once again GN'R updates people on what they already know.

Geeh, there's an album coming out? It has 14 tracks that are named such and such? Thank god you told me. 16

#4170 Re: Guns N' Roses » Guns N' Roses update official site » 912 weeks ago

I doubt he's out of the band, but he is obviously not considered a member like the rest. The Darryl Jones of GN'R (although strictly speaking they all are).
