I've been listening to Bigger Bang + a handful of other stones tracks all day. One thing I really dig about them, it's rock music you can dance to. (I don't consider head banging and moshing dancing)

I just went a couple tracks into Voodoo and I lost interest. :-/

There's a serious lack of respect in here for a bigger bang.
I'm pretty late to the party with this thread, but I just read through it while sitting here listening to Bigger Bang and had to comment. This album kicks serious ass. There is a lot of praise for Doom and Gloom on this thread, the track would fit right into Bigger Bang, the album is very much in the same vein as the new track.
I will have to check out Voodoo Lounge though because of all the love for it on this thread, but I don't like a lot of the older Stones stuff. So far I've found I like these new tracks on the greatest hits, Bigger Bang, and just a few of their older songs. I like their classics like, Miss You, Can't Get No Satisfaction, Sympathy for the Devil, Paint it Black, etc., and I like the hard rock tracks that I've been able to find. I haven't gotten through their whole catalogue, but it seems that most of their work is too country and too blues for my taste.
From what I've read, their Exile on Main Street album is supposed to be their best, and I hated it. I've tried listening to it a couple of time, and I can't get past the first 5 tracks w/o being bored out of my mind.

I don't generally like todays mainstream pop music, and Kesha is no exception. But, this last album she came out with has been getting good reviews by critics and I thought I'd check it out. Also, I heard her on the radio a few weeks ago, found out she rights her own songs, and she has kind of a wild, eccentric, interesting personality, which makes me dig her as a person.
I don't find the music terrible, it's loud and fast tempo, so it's got that in common with hard rock, so I can kinda dig that. But her voice is like nails on a chalk board, I just cant get into it.
Also, something that really bothers me about her, she's one of the few female pop artists I don't want to fuck. She's not ugly, but there's something weird about her face, she doesn't have feminine curves, and she looks dirty.

Bon Jovi plays concert for free
(Classic Rock) Bon Jovi have waived their fee for an upcoming concert in Spain to help fans in the financial crisis-torn country be able to afford tickets for the show.
Spain was one of the worst-hit nations in Europe in the aftermath of the 2008 financial meltdown. It's still suffering high inflation, high unemployment and low growth, with latest estimates suggesting the country hasn't yet emerged from recession.
The idea of the band working for nothing came from frontman Jon Bon Jovi himself. "When we were planning the tour we did a study and found that, due to the economic situation, Spain was not on the road map," He tells El Mundo. "But we didn't want to stop playing to the fans of a country that's treated me so well for 30 years."
As a result of the gesture, tickets for the show in Madrid on June 27 were sold for as little as £15, with the income covering the costs of staging, crew and venue staff.

Would be awesome if Jon had the pipes he had back in '89, but I don't think he can pull that off anymore.
I'd be seriously surprised if anything like that were to happen. Jon runs the band like a mafia, they don't bring anyone new in unless they have to. If the band continues, I expect Phil X on guitar, but not as an official member, and Desmond Child and Billy Falcon to help co-write songs. Child being a maybe, even though he's helped write the bigger hits, he might have a better relationship with Richie than with Jon.
Child collaborating with Richie on a solo album would be a hell of a thing.

I'm excited for a new spin on the origins. Movie will be well over 2 hours so I am not worried. They are following the batman formula. Total reboot. Plus I think they are focusing more on the "alien" aspect of his origin and how that effects earth and supes more so then the original. And maybe more adult Clark before he becomes superman. So we will prolly get a totally revamp origin.
Beside the origin story is necessary so that the next movies can pick right up just like TDK series. It would just seem like a part of all the other superman movies if it didn't start from the beginning.
The only thing that you need to tell an audience about Superman's origin, is that he is a strange visitor from another planet, with powers greater than an ordinary man, and who stands for truth, justice, and the American way. It can be told in a minute.
It just annoys me because its already been retold so many times. I understand it worked for Batman, but there hadn't been a Batman movie in over 20 years, and there wasn't a Batman TV show that ran for 7 years dedicated to Batman's origins.
